In UP, you'll know about various orgs: acad-related, religious, regional, hobbies-related. There are so many to choose from! Although, when you do choose, you have to really work your ass off to get in.

I've tried joining the Debate Society here. May I just say that right after attending the applicants' orientation, I knew I had to quit. These people are already high school debaters. They've been practicing for years! What chance do I have against them in getting in? Besides, my app buddy quit.

In spite of all this, I also have to admit that it's fear that stopped me. I didn't like to be rejected. Even now. Who does? I was scared of the thought of trying to get in and not being able to get in.

I'm aware I'm changing speakers but hey this is informal so...

Anw, that's it. I just think that people are already joining in so why should I not? Or, why should I?
