Jewel the Beetle is a sweetie pie, very serious, stressed out of her mind leading the restoration, passionate about the rock and stone museum she curates, and Tangle's best friend from childhood. She's often worried she isn't good enough in what she's doing, but she tries her hardest anyway.

Espio doesn't interact with her much for a long time, but in ONE of the IDW spinoffs, he won a flower cultivating competition, and IMMEDIATELY refuses to accept the prize of a giant geode for himself, instead donating it to her for her museum. After that, in the same comic, you can see them hanging out together in the festival midway where he won a plush chaos emerald for her. They've had some fleeting cute moments since, and I see so much potential in these two uptight dorks holding up under pressure to support others lifting each other up. Plus, Charmy gets a fellow bug in the family.

If I remember correctly, the other games by Dimps (Rush, Adventure, the Advance trilogy) were better. Still kind of jank, and tougher in the last couple stages, but better. (do not play the missions in Adventure. I repeat do NOT PLAY THEM. You'll thank me-) My theory is that Color DS crashed so hard halfway through because it was a semi unplanned alternative and probably rushed to match the release of the console game.

I will keep this in mind, thank you! I do own Rush, and I was feeling nervous about playing it after how Colors went. I feel a bit more reassured, thank you!
