So about the Bet...

I was writing something then the finale came out and changed a LOT.

So honestly

If the votes says for me to do my own shit, then its gonna kinda be how I thought it was gonna end, and my interpretations of the show that I think should have stayed.

I'm just going to weigh in on the (JAX ISN'T TRANS) movement going on at the moment.

As someone who thought that he was just a guy struggling with his perception of masculinity and denying any form of femininity incase it made him look weak.

Jax in the canon of the show, Is trans. We can't deny that. She might not of transitioned but she's a she. And I have no problems with that what so ever. Bring on the yuri funnybunny! (I wish it wasn't doomed but I'm going to live off of the funnybunny scraps that Goose threw me.)

But just because its cannon in the show, doesn't mean you can't create fanworks of Jax still being male. Its fiction. Its ok to keep creating your own worlds, theories, pictures based on that. Theres tons of gender bent works in every fandom. We don't need to gate keep it, just be kind to each other or don't interact if its not your cup of tea.

Personally, with the stories I'm writing I'm still going forwards with Jax being a he/him. Because I have no perception of being trans and the struggle they go through. I don't think I could do a storyline like that justice and I would feel absolutely awful if I fucked it up and accidentally offended someone with something I wrote.

That being said, I love this fandom and hope everyone is doing well after that gut punch of a last episode. I cried. A lot.

This is a petition (not made by me) to stop Gorillaz from using generative AI in their concerts. About two months ago, Gorillaz collaborator Bizarrap got in some hot water for posting AI generated images of 2D in his promotion for “Orange County” without the consent of Jamie or Damon. The backlash was swift and eventually Jamie created art for Bizarrap to use instead. Now, it appears that another company has been using generative AI to create the “algorithmic entropy button” footage, possibly without the permission of Damon and Jamie. While Jamie has stated that they did plan to use this concept, he stated that it would not contain any actual AI generated images and would instead use images that resembled something AI would make. This is the information on the petition:

As of 29/03/26, Gorillaz are confirmed to be utilising generative AI in the visual accompaniment provided by SWEAR Studios for the "algorithmic entropy" button.

There have been two confirmed cases of use during the Mountain tour, alongside usage of AI upscaling technology being used for the original 2001 visuals at the Copper Box show for Self-Titled, establishing a pattern.

This petition has been created to formally declare disapproval of this approach, regardless of if use is intended to be 'ironic'.

The use also directly contradicts Jamie Hewlett's own personal stance on generative AI, stating in a recent Absolute Radio Interview: "We are not using AI in our work, and we will never use AI in our work."

We politely request that all use of generative content is stopped.

I encourage everyone viewing this post to sign the petition and get it to 1000 signatures. Gorillaz is an incredible band and things like this tarnish its legacy no matter who’s responsible. I’m not saying boycott Gorillaz or anything like that, as we don’t know the context for how and why these AI generated images and upscaling appeared in the first place. If it’s true that Damon and Jamie have no idea that AI is being used, then this petition is to let them know what’s been going on and to address that. I firmly believe something can be reasoned here and that this issue will be swiftly resolved. Please sign the petition so we can work together to make sure this band remains AI free forever. If you love Gorillaz as much as I do please join me and the other fans begging for this to stop.
