REDO OF VERRIER IS HERE!! They're still the same storywise but now they have Fake Eyes to See You With :))

- Shamura is the only Bishop that started off mortal, Babel knows this & it’s half the reason they were cursed to silence

- Birds becoming more common in-game (in follower forms, NPCS, enemies) also happens in-au story wise, it leads up to the return of verrier

- speaking of the return of Verrier; they return due to Lambert falling to their own hubris & using relics left behind by both them and the other Cardinals (Feather of Verrier, Scale of Alecto, Tear of Mammon); thus sparking some vague form of faith towards them

- upon the cardinals return they technically lose what made them mortal. as they were sent to purgatory upon death just like the bishops in the game are. thus they come back stronger & more vicious & actually god-like!!

- in this sense, Lambert also fails to complete their goal. They do defeat kallamar and leshy (not kill but severely wound); but they end up falling to the furious, revived cardinals

Valac - Follower of the Old Gods

A follower of the old, now long-dead gods who has been imprisoned in the same place Narinders in for quite some time. Ironically, they were originally imprisoned BY Narinder- and ultimately let out by him as one last, spiteful move towards his siblings.

This fellas enormous, easily out-sizing even Beelze. They don’t really talk much, if at all, and enjoy sowing distrust amongst the current Bishops followers just to see the chaos unfold.

Otis

Kallamar & Mammons shared Acolyte. An elderly, prophetic turtle who seems fairly indifferent to most things.

Now that Mammons gone, this little dude is heavily underappreciated and most people ignore his warnings; including Kallamar. Though Shamuras taken an interest in hearing him out. (Which so far hasn’t gone... well. This fella tells the unfiltered truth of the future and sometimes folks just aren’t ready for that)

Doesn’t really care what you do with the information he gives you. He’s just tired.

Okok so... two new acolyte ideas for the last two bishops, since Babel n Beelze already exist :]

Sea Turtle - Kallamars Acolyte. used to be Mammons, too. an old, weary prophet. probably the most competent acolyte, incredibly wise & put together. and of course Kallamar doesn’t ever listen to them or their warnings, and often takes this fella for granted. Highly trusted by Shamura, but no-one else listens to them. Not that they really mind, they’ll tell you the future but ultimately what you plan to do with that is none of their concern

Deer - Leshys Acolyte. An unhinged, magically inclined acolyte who became more and more determined to defy the cycle of life & death (incredibly old, but appears young, very intricate antlers due to how long they've lived). Went behind Leshys back to learn more magic, building off both what Leshy taught them- and what they pulled from Narinder and their teachings of them (which is HEAVILY forbidden).

Ik it's a relatively smallish update/event but it looks sick as hell!!! personally, I'm most excited for the vague lore implications, even if it's just meant 2 be a little silly Halloween event! (why does the bird have a beak and a mouth😭)

in terms of my own content/story tho hmm. mammon is the fella connected to the moon; so I believe a blood-moon event would be caused by them!!! and it would temporarily bring ghosts around, which includes the ghosts of Avians (which of course 4 my guys, have already been established to be basically gone beyond a few due to Verriers disappearance!).

A once respected member of Shamuras cult; Babel was revered for her vast intelligence & strength in the battlefield. She also participated as a teacher of the Old Faith, up until they were cursed to silence due to their knowledge of the Great Ones; which could've potentially jeopardized the Old Faith.

She’s now rather old and no longer follows the Bishop, and instead is spiteful of both them & their following. Can be found in the few patches of land outside the Old Faiths control and is quite hostile to most folks.
