"it's a skill honed over the years. i'm not saying dad's a bad cook, but when i would stay with him after camille died, i had to learn how to cook more than just burgers and steaks. so i took some guidance from youtube and home cooking shows and now i can whip up just about anything." she'd ever considered applying for a cooking competition show once upon a time, but that was likely never actually going to happen. no way did she want to put herself up for criticism from some of the best chefs in the world like that.
taking a bite of her food, she relishes in the taste. it tasted better than she ever remembered, and she had to force herself not to audibly moan every time she scooped more into her mouth. especially when she put the meatballs in there. homemade meatballs had always been one of her favorite foods, and she may be biased, but hers were the best.
"nah let's just go with a classic. we can watch the hangover. that way if we decide to nod off or find something else to occupy ourselves we won't miss anything we haven't seen before." she had no intentions of falling asleep, but she was up for more ways of relaxing with him; that was if kevin was up for it as well. she wasn't going to push anything on to him.
scooping the last bite of food into her mouth, she stood up and walked her plate to the sink. "why don't you turn the tv and find the movie while i clean up in here. it shouldn't take me too long."
