Can you share some of your process? The lineless look seems very hard to pull off

I'll use this commission as an example cause I have screenshots of the process

First, I start out with a simple sketch. Then, I roughly block the colors with a large painting brush under the sketch, and in areas I need to be precise in I use a small opaque brush (esp areas that require a lot of small details like faces). i do a lot of re-adjusting during the painting process and it is not efficient at all but i like how it looks lol. most of this is done with 1-4 layers.

ofc my colors become more saturated in the process as I test what colors can fit together with good contrast. i try and be as saturated as possible without loosing the design of the original character.
