No, you’re not being paranoid – 4/20 marks the “official” release of Ink and Drink Comics new horror anthology Spirits of St. Louis II - Hair of the Dog! We’re going to celebrate in style on Saturday, April 23rd, by having our release party at Comic Headquarters on Telegraph Rd. in South County St. Louis from noon - 2pm . Come on down and get your copy of the new book and free sketches from Ink and Drink artists. Cheers! 

(And if you can’t make it this Saturday, I will be attending events in the area on the following two Saturdays as well! Details about those signings will be forthcoming!)

The book debuts at Wizard World STL next weekend.

Here are the regular versions of the front and back covers of the new Ink and Drink anthology Spirits of St. Louis II: Hair of the Dog. This new horror anthology is the thirteenth collection from Ink and Drink Comics, and it will debut with a variant cover at Wizard World St. Louis in two weeks’ time. That debut will quickly followed by the release of the regular edition, pictured here, at various comic shops throughout the STL area. It features sixteen stories in a wide variety of styles and has over 100 pages of content, specifically three pieces written by me and totaling 19 pages in all. I’ll be previewing those stories here all next week, so keep an eye out for more information!

Wizard World St. Louis is just three weeks away, and if you haven’t gotten a ticket yet, there’s a great deal being offered by Nimble Deals in conjunction with STLToday (the website for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch). You can get a ticket to the Friday of the con for just $20, or a ticket for Sunday for just $22.50! It’s a great price for these single-day tickets, so I really recommend taking advantage of this deal if you want to attend the con and haven’t gotten a ticket yet.

Tomorrow afternoon on the Wildwood campus of St. Louis Community College, I will be representing Ink and Drink Comics at a mini comic convention which runs from 1 to 8:30 pm! It’s a totally free event, so if you’re in the neighborhood you should come out and check it out. I will have preview art from the upcoming book Spirits of St. Louis II there which you’ll be able to peruse, and a wide selection of our previous works will be available for purchase as well.

Here’s a sneak preview of some of the art from a short story I wrote called “The Blade of Ma’at.” The story is nine pages, and it is illustrated by the amazingly talented Chris Sagovac. It will appear in Spirits of St. Louis 2: Hair of the Dog, from Ink and Drink Comics, and it will be debuting at Wizard World St. Louis April 1-3.
