And another square done! Woot!
Another square done, just in time for today's series 5 debut. This was the fastest portrait I've done to date! I switched up the stitches I was doing which was a traditional do a row in one direction and then come back and finish the stitches in the other. I started doing a modified sewing method stitch (modified in that I still use a q square hoop) and I can't believe how much faster it is.
Soooo... ya. The "The" is not in a great place but.. oh well. Perfection is overrated. But the wording is what I've been working on since the beginning of the year. 2 more rows!!!! I can do this I can do this Hercules! Hercules!!!!
At long last... the first 2 rows are complete! Onto the midsection!!!

Row 2 is done!!! Soooo... I know ravens aren't really a part of Peaky, but whenever this phrase is said, someone is about to die or has died and my inner goth said "this square must have a raven!" So it does.
You get a few days off of work, and you can really burn rubber on getting some squares done. Here's the latest... an Ada quote next to Ada.
A Christmas Eve message brought to you by the Peaky Blinders, a reminder during family celebrations... Happy holidays everyone!!!
Finn is done. I'm still not thrilled with the photo to pattern conversion, but what can you do?
This is the last time I'm using the app on my iPad (which shall remain nameless...) for photo conversions... I'm not excited about how Finn is turning out. Oh well now I know...

One of my all time favorite quotes from Polly.
There was some drama with this one. I bought a new iPad and designed this pattern using StitchSketch. Next day after I finished the design, I locked myself out of the iPad due to incorrect passcode. Long story short, I ended up having to restore my iPad back to factory settings... before I had a chance to backup anything. As luck would have it, I printed out the pattern, but not the color chart. So the colors I ended up stitching are completely on the fly.
I can't wait to see the whole peaky blinders blanket done :o I love it so much!!!
Thank you so much!
And Michael is finally done! I had to take a break because work was crazy busy and I moved to a new house. But Iβm back! I already have the next square designed... itβs a quote square.
Can I ask, what fabric are you using for your cross stitch blanket? I've wanted to do one for a long time but didn't know what to use.
Why certainly, it's an 18 count Afghan fabric from Wichelt imports Inc. It's 9 blocks across, 5 down
Did a little work on Michael while on a mini vacay. Nothing like lounging on a porch in the shade in a cabin in the woods (sans the zombie redneck torture family... ba bum bum ching *horror movie fans should get that... wink wink nudge nudge) doing a little stitching. Awwww... relaaaaaxing.

Could I ask you what software you use to make your patterns because they are so good!
Absolutely, and thank you! I use PC Stitch for Windows.
Here is where I'm at with Michael. Note to self: watching Jennifer's Body, a movie about a girl who would eat your face if she had the chance while cross stitching a face that's missing a nose and mouth makes for a weirdly disturbing experience. That could totally just be me though...
