This tumblr blog is old, probably made in like 2021 or something. I don't post here that much, but decided to take on it again cuz why not. I've also haven't made a proper introduction, so here ig... if you care lol

More about me lol:

— I'm a college student doing animation and concept art! I wanted to learn animation for a very long time, since I've used to make animation memes back in 2015. I remember them being really fun to do, especially the characters I used to have. I want to revive them too...

— I usually make fanart specifically for Hetalia and FNAF sometimes, but I ALWAYS draw my OCs nonstop. I have many of them, and I love to create OCs! I always share them around friends, but I feel like wanting to do social media, just so I can share them around the world, and not be absolutely terrified in doing so...

— I've always believed I may be an introvert, but I also might be an ambivert. I do like going outside and I guess talking to people, but I've always been an awkward person whenever I approach a new person. It's really annoying, I might be an awkward person in here too but whatever 😭

What to expect in the blog:

— Ig expect a LOT of goofy drawings lol... sometimes I would take my art not seriously, and other times I would do so to the point I'll develop self-loathing midway. There is a lot of artworks I make, mainly digital art work! Traditional... rarely.

This is my oc, Hikari :P

I might make more drawings for her to introduce her properly (Gotta do that for all my OC's, since this account is so hetalia based ToT)

But this artwork also has quite a lot of details that explain Hikari so.... I guess I can also explain them.

The Mask:

The mask has a couple of symbolism's added on it. The entirety of it is something that Hikari made, as a representation of what she wants to be for the future, and to strive for that. However, she needs to cover herself up in order to keep going. In that case, she wants to be an idol!

The sparkle on the mark's forehead resembles her gaining attention through her spotlight as an idol, or at least tries to... She wants to make sure that she gains enough attention, so she can give as much hope as possible through her performances.

Her bowtie on the mask has a flower in the middle of it. It's a Cyclamen: symbolism for Resignation and Goodbye. She wants to be an idol because of her mother, who used to be one herself, but her life ended short by her own hands when Hikari was very young. Hikari couldn't move on from her mother's death; her way of coping is to regain her mother's legacy by becoming just like her! (And not dying...)

The song itself:

The song I based this drawing of is called Phony by Tsumiki Ft. KAFU. From what I know, the song is about pretending to be someone you aren't or faking your feelings to gain approval.

The song fits Hikari well; she covers her face with a mask of what she expects herself to be and what she thinks her mother would want her to be. She never really got to look at other perspectives and she doesn't feel like she is finding herself as much as she thought she would, despite her efforts. All she knows is that she wants to be an idol, and that's all there is to it... It even means to completely neglect everything around her in order to gain that goal.

If you noticed from her design (like her gloves or her black stripes on her hair) she doesn't fully look all cutesy... other than her fluffy hair or her heart tattoo on her face that gives that cutesy feeling to her. Eventually, that would foreshadow that being an idol might not be her only destiny, but something else waiting for her... 👀
