Sexual assault trauma told me I was not worthy of love, not even the love I was to give to myself. As a survivor of multiple sexual assaults, I truly felt like I was simply here to be used by men as a sex object. I carried a victim mentality, I felt broken, used, and dirty. I am proud to say that I have done the work and have completely shifted that energy. Being sexually assaulted multiple times, you can imagine that my life was effected in multiple ways. Y’all know what it is. About to get this head together. This moment takes me back to all the Saturday evenings spent with my Mommy combing me and my sisters hair before church on Sunday 🌞. She would have that electric stove, a straightening comb, and that blue magic grease 🤣. She had each of us looking tight and right. Mommy taught me how to get this head together myself and for this, I am eternally grateful.
