i use the mode setting on my phone for very normal things like automatically putting my phone on do not disturb sans work contacts during work hours and for locking me out of certain apps after i send a message so i don't drive myself insane.

i started reading Project Hail Mary not expecting much but to have something more in common with the person that recommended it to me. i finished it about half an hour ago and i'm still crying. so. highly recommend.

i bought my first guitar today and mentioned that i play in open d tuning because everyone i love plays in open d. the associate IMMEDIATELY says "let me guess, Adrianne Lenker and boygenius?" and it felt like he might as well have pointed his finger at me and yelled "GAY" right then and there.
