Years ago, he had been stabbed above the kidney with what was basically a shiv. There was a small, puckered scar where it went in, but either the deep tissue trauma or the surgical incision had done something that made the muscles tighten at random. It didn’t happen very often, but it was definitely a pain in the ass when it did. He put August’s fingers over the scar so he knew where it was. 

Sitting here skin-to-skin with the other Spy, it was... nice. He didn’t expect such a simple thing to feel so nice, but it really did. He let his hands trace against Greg’s sides, pausing when his fingers hit a scar to explore its shape. He kept touching as he thought over the question. From here on out, Greg should more or less know what to expect. Sure, his situation down there was a little different from a cisgender woman’s, but his situation everywhere else had also been unique, so he figured he could talk them both through it.

Gentle fingers traced the scars, tenderly exploring them with a reflective sort of sadness. “Oh, Bumblebee…” Greg said softly. He wished that August could have gotten the surgery he deserved rather than this butchery. Shaking the thought away, he looked up at his boyfriend’s face. “Does it hurt? I mean, are there any places that are tender or sore to touch?” He knew that sometimes scars, especially scars this big, could cause numbness or persistent aches or any number of other nerve issues. He didn’t want to add to any discomfort if he could avoid it. 

After a moment’s hesitation, he took off his own undershirt. He had lean muscles befitting a dancer, not all that much bigger than August. There were faint scars on his upper arms and torso from deaths and close calls, here and abroad. His scars were nothing compared to August’s, but very few people had been allowed close enough to see them all the same. 

He gave a little nod, not really at either of them--he didn’t show many people his scars, and the few he had hadn’t reacted like this. It was... nice. “No, it doesn’t hurt anywhere. You can touch wherever, but there are some spots that are like... numb? Like here,” he explained, poking a finger into a spot on his own chest seemingly at random. “I can feel pressure but not, like, specific touch. But there’s nowhere that feels bad...”

Instead of taking the hint, he shifted August’s hand to the next button on his shirt. If August wanted the shirt off, he was going to have to work for it. As much as Greg was content to take the lead, he needed his boyfriend’s continued consent. It was one thing to gently take him by the hand and show him the ropes, and quite another to bulldoze through his boundaries. 

Once he guided August’s hand further down his shirt, he moved his own hands to the bottom of August’s undershirt, raising it just a bit. It was an attempt to test the waters. Although he told Greg he trusted him, he didn’t want to push too far. 

Unlike his boyfriend, August did take the hint, slowly fiddling open buttons until he reached where the shirt tucked into Greg’s pants. He didn’t dissuade Greg’s hands while he did so, and once he was finished, he paused to steel himself a bit, then pulled the undershirt off in one quick sweep. Like a band-aid.

Most of his torso was more or less what one would expect--pale, with a light dusting of hairs, and his ribs close enough to the surface that they could be felt with a little poking and prodding. His chest, though, was a wide mess of keloid scars, lumpy and discolored from healing poorly and crooked from a shoddy incision to start with. The scars covered where his nipples would have been, if they were still attached.

Greg’s throat was suddenly dry, but he gave August a nod and confident looking smile. “All right. We’ll see where things go. I’m glad you trust me so much.” He traced his boyfriend’s jaw with his fingers again, then lifted his chin to kiss the other side of his neck. Resisting the urge to make vampire jokes, he nipped at August’s throat lightly, waiting for his reaction. 

Greg’s smile brought one back to August’s face as well, though his was smaller and less sure of himself. Though, as his boyfriend seemed to accept how things were going, August relaxed a bit, eyes fluttering closed as his head was tilted. There was another small noise as he felt the nips on his throat, quiet and a little whiny. He didn’t think teeth on his throat would feel good, but every time Greg did it, August just wanted to ask him to do it harder.

“Sex stuff?” he repeated in confusion, nuzzling along the side of August’s nose. “What would you like to try? Or… did you want to just see where things go and stop if you get too uncomfortable?” His lips brushed lightly against the Bumblebee’s, not quite a kiss but every bit as loving and tender as one. “I don’t mind exploring with you.” 

Chuckling, he hugged August tenderly. “You mean this?” he asked, sucking on August’s neck again. He kissed a bit lower, just beside the collar of his undershirt and began to suck the skin softly. He was happy to leave another little hickey for him. 

August made a little noise as he did, an embarrassing noise in the back of his throat that he had wanted to make the first time, had they not been trying to be quiet. His hands clutched at Greg’s shirt again, and his insides felt warm in a way he could barely stand.
