even the shortest moment of silence was rare when stiles was around, but this situation had him speechless. he just stood there, slack jawed, narrow eyed, and  completely mute aside from the occasional undefined sound that would be the start of a comeback if the boy could get his thoughts together. after what seemed like forever, he finally managed to mumble something coherent.                      ❝if i'm really taking it too seriously, i'll drop it.❞

           ❝Don't be such a drama queen.❞

“I have Scott, which is basically the same thing.”

“Trust me, I wouldn't have if it weren't   for my conscience acting up.”

oh no, there was no way stiles was letting him off that easy. not when this was probably the first derek's ever alluded to feeling anything more than a slight tolerance for him.
