Klaus Mikaelson Being Infatuated With You Headcanon
~It's instantaneous. He's gone for you from the first moment.
•He first saw you drinking with Damon and Alaric, both of whom you regarded as good friends, Damon and you having been close since he came to town and he changed you.
•"In the grand scheme of things, how bad would it be waiting on this curse for one more month, huh?" Damon asked and you rolled your eyes at his pathetic attempt, not knowing Klaus but knowing he wouldn't put up with you friends bullshit.
"He is joking, isn't he?"
"No, sadly, not one little bit." That was the moment he turned around and set his eyes on you for the first time. You were the prettiest little thing he had ever seen and he had to force himself to turn away.
~You knew everything was going to be tense for everyone after he broke his curse so you went home only to find a little gift waiting for you the next morning.
•You were awoken at 9 in the morning, growling angrily and throwing the door open, ready to rip whoever dared disturb your sleep a new asshole before seeing no one, looking down and noticing a bouquet of both red and purple roses. You couldn't help your smile at the thought of the meaning behind both, red meaning love and romance and purple meaning love at first sight, not seeing the hybrid standing by the tree line and watching the smile spread across your face. As you picked them up and read the paper you were stunned, seeing a lovely drawing of you sitting beside a wolf, the signature at the bottom with his full name throwing you completely into left field.
•"This is not going to go well." You couldn't help but laugh at the idea of Damon finding out that the hybrid fancied you.
~You had nearly forgotten about him while he was away with Stefan before they came back, Klaus showing up at your door at nearly 1 in the morning.
•"If I wasn't a night person I would be killing you right now, you know this, yes?" The hybrid nodded and came inside, not needing permission but you were unafraid, figuring if he was 'in love with you' then you were probably safe.
"My hybrids weren't working, I had to come back and find out why but...I couldn't leave without seeing you." That was all he said as he stood just inside your doorway, staring at you intently and honestly it's all he had to say. You were shocked at how safe you felt with this man that you should hate, but you didn't, so as he said this to you, you just took it in stride.
"Hungry?" You offered, walking to the kitchen and heating up some of the chicken and pasta in vodka sauce that you had had for dinner 7 hours before.
"Um...yes I...I could eat. Thank you Princess." You heated you both a bowl up and sat on the porch swing outside in comfortable silence as you ate, him making borderline sexual noises upon tasting your food. "I need you to cook for me more often gorgeous, this is fantastic."
"It's just chicken and pasta Klaus-"
"It's amazing. Thank you for not kicking me out, being with you is very...comforting."
•He spent the rest of the night with you on your couch, you falling asleep around 3am watching Game of Thrones.
~You found you actually missed him the next time he was gone, him having left his cell phone number so you could text and he texted you constantly!
•"You know, with how often you talk to me you're almost like a clingy boyfriend." You said as you answered the phone upon him actually calling you for once.
"Good. Maybe it will keep other men away while I'm not there myself." I had to roll my eyes, knowing he was completely insane.
"Men aren't lining up to date me Klaus, stop making it seem like they are. You're just weird."
"You think my interest in you is strange?"
"Why?" You stuttered at that, unable to answer the question you were not expecting. "You're a lovely girl, I've seen the way men look at you, I think if you weren't so surrounded by men all the time plenty of others would ask you out-"
"Glad I'm surrounded then, I don't want to be asked out. Men suck, they're all assholes or idiots, or both like Damon." I joked and he actually laughed along at that one.
"Well, I hope you'll give one a chance."
~By the time he came back once again you actually missed him and thought to warn him of his father and Damon's plan as they were going to kill him
•"You helped me." He stated as you opened the door. There was no question, not even a 'Hello' and all you did was shrug. "I'm growing on you, don't lie to me."
"You wish hybrid." He spent the evening once again eating on your couch, openly flirting but never making a move to do anything.
•When his siblings were woken up they all noticed a change in their brother. He had talked about 'changing' before but this time they really did see it, and this time he had said nothing about it.
•Elijah and Rebekah followed him the night after they were all back together, finding him knocking on your door once again. "You know, if you're going to keep coming over and eating you may as well just come for dinner Klaus. Come in, I'll heat up some roast and potatoes." They were shocked to see someone talking to their brother the way you did and not getting hurt but when they saw how he looked at you, they knew.
•"I approve of your girlfriend brother, I like the way she's changed you." Elijah told him the next night before he could go out.
"What are you talking about?"
"The girl who feeds you, she's very pretty, not your usual type though. You should have her over for dinner sometime, we would all love to meet her-"
~Rebekah took it upon herself to ask you to dinner. No one told Klaus about it so he couldn't cancel and they just left him to figure it out himself.
•"Niklaus! Could you get the door?!" Elijah shouted and he huffed, getting off the couch and just thinking about killing a few hours until he could see you. He got the shock of a lifetime when he opened his front door to see you standing there in a cute sundress with a platter in your hands.
"Hey! My mom always said don't go to someone's house empty handed so I baked some cookies." He stood there with his mouth hanging open for several seconds and before you could ask if he was okay Elijah interjected.
"Y/n! So glad you could join us, thank you, these smell delicious. I apologize for my brothers rudeness, come on in. We've just finished cooking." You followed after him as he took the platter until Klaus caught your arm stopping you.
"Rebekah invited me to dinner...didn't you know?"
"No!" You leaned back as he snapped at you and you could see he felt instant regret. "I'm sorry love, my family is just...I don't want to lose you." You couldn't help your smile as you realized what he meant but you decided to tease him anyway.
"Aww, afraid Elijah will sweep me off my feet while you're too busy coming to my house, eating my food and not asking me out?" You moved to walk toward where Elijah had left when he wrapped around your back, growling in your ear.
"That's not funny Y/n. You're not getting out of my arms until you admit that you're already mine. Don't lie." His voice sent a chill down your spine and you nodded, admitting what he knew was true, he had already won you over and as you did he turned your head, pressing his lips to yours softly in what was a truly lovely first kiss.
"Stop making out! I'm hungry!" Kol shouted and you laughed, pulling a grumbling Klaus into the dining room and sitting to have dinner, spending the evening getting to know his family who all decided they enjoyed your company and how much you calmed Niklaus who you stopped from daggering Kol when he made a vulgar comment at you
•The Mikaelson's all loved you and were just as happy as their brother with your relationship, happy that Nik had you to be there for him and that they had you to shield them from his anger
