☞ grumpy papa that indulges in more nautical themes (often calling me "little lad" or "tiny sailor") !

☞ he prefers more solitary activities,, keepin' me in quiet spaces with just the two of us so we both avoid gettin' overwhelmed ! often times these activities involve walkin' around the Tundra (his ship),, dancin' in the fog,, and exploring every nook & cranny of any rocky shore we come across !

☞ he isn't all that fussy or overly affectionate most of the time,, instead putting his energy into bein' dependable,, hovering about n' providing all the support I may need ! he always knows where to find me the few times he needs to be away too,, so even when I gotta be independent,, I feel reassured that he's still with me in his own way !

☞ at bedtime he likes to make sure all my stuffies are "aboard the ship" (aka my bed) jus to make me giggle,, before telling me a sailor story or hummin' a sea shanty with his rough n' weathered voice until I drift off ! on especially cold nights he leaves his big captains jacket for me to snuggle with !

☞ comforts often include:: big heavy quilts,, old maritime maps,, toy sailboats,, shell & sea glass collections,, brass lanterns,, pocket compasses,, n' worn sea creature stuffies !

⊱ ⟡ ❝ Miss Peregrine ❞ ⏱ ⊰

☞ protective mama that indulges in more vintage themes (often calling me "teacup" or "button") !

☞ she thrives on structure,, so everyday has an easy & predictable schedule,, and I find lotsa comfort in knowing what comes next instead of worrying abt big changes ! she's nurturing without bein' permissive,, providing gentle (yet firm) guidance throughout the day !

☞ her care is often expressed through practical & simple acts of devotion,, like making sure I get enough rest,, straightening my collar,, n' brushing dust from my sleeves ! she's also quick to notice when I'm stressed or upset n' doesn't hesitate to provide plenty of security n' reassurance !

☞ she encourages simple pleasures like wooden blocks,, puzzles,, sketching,, and bird watching when it comes to play ! she also enjoys reading me books in her composed n' elegant voice,, saying I'm a good listener n' urging me to theorize about each story !

☞ comforts often include:: soft knitted blankets,, hand-sewn stuffies,, pocket watches,, embroidered handkerchiefs,, the amber glow of lamps,, records playing quietly,, and warm milk before bed !

⊱ it was fairly rainy this time around,, but I honestly loved it sm anyways ! I spent lotsa time in the sea gettin' bashed by the waves until my bones ached,, n' lotsa time on the sand lookin' for pretty shells & sea glass ! plus the pelicans & seagulls were so cool.. I loveee seabirds !

⊱ I'd walk along the shore late at night too when the ghost crabs came out n' it was delightful.. the boat lights in the distance were so prettyyy.. and there was even some ♡ fog ♡ bcus of all the rain !! as well as toads n' frogs on the walk back to where I was staying that made such sweet melodies together !

⊱ I got sunburnt,, and unfortunately started my evil time of the month the night before we left (it's been quite a while since my last one so it's left me feelin' pretty awful),, but I don't regret anythin' ! I miss the beach already.. I'm a coastal boy at heart ! a lil selkie,, ! I can't wait until next year ( ˶>ㅁ<) + hopefully that time we can go to the aquarium again & maybe see a lighthouse !!

⊱ oh also— some of my fav things I'm bringing back from the experience is a heart-ish shaped piece of sea glass I found on the beach,, a whale bracelet I got from a lil shop nearby that actually tracks a whale (mine is a male sperm whale named Steinar :-D),, and a big blue baja hoodie from that same shop !
