this AU literally makes no sense, but here we go

Stan is an excommunicated priest and is called to a little house in the woods to help a small family consisting of Francine, Steve, and Hayley. Steve is possessed by a demon who constantly taunts his family by saying ominous messages and threats.

- when it comes to their young, everyone who plays a major part raising them are considered their parents. so for example if a child of their kind were being raised by their biological parents but their two neighbors also played a huge role in raising them, then all four of them would be considered that kid’s parents. also because of this, i kinda like to believe rogu lowkey sees everyone living under the smith roof as his whole parental unit.

- swimming and fishing are common hobbies for them !! i kinda like to hc they were evolved from aquatic creatures, and it still carries over to where it’s a specieswide practice. (i also hc that despite being an avid swimmer, roger himself hates it and he avoids swimming at all costs).

- roger’s kind picks out their own names !! at birth they’re sorta given a placeholder name (which could be anything ,, could be an actual name that they’re allowed to disown as they get older, could be just a number or a letter, could simply be a lazy title like ‘child’, etc.) but as they get older they’re allowed to rename themselves once they find a name that feels like Them.

- they’re also pretty well-versed in forms of nonverbal communication. their form of sign language, a possible form of morse code, etc. with what i said about them being swimmers, as well their planet being snowbound and occasionally leading to them getting caught out in blizzards or just situations where the wind is too high to properly talk to each other, they sorta had to learn how to nonverbally communicate with each other in these situations. roger’s an expert at charades because of this.

- with the fact that roger’s species have heat cycles, i think it’s safe to say that their kind are all born around the same general time period, and because of that they don’t really celebrate birthdays individually. instead they sorta do a mass celebration each time this comes around (which i still haven’t decided whether i hc it to be every year or every few years). after roger came to earth and discovered that humans celebrate individually, he latched onto it immediately and hopped onto that train. he thinks it’s way more fun than sharing the spotlight with pretty much his entire kind.

- i’ve mentioned this a million times and i’ll say it again ,, roger’s kind are really catlike in behavior. no i don’t take constructive criticism on this one because i’m right.
