"So?" Tao's eyebrows almost touched his hairline.

The thought of it alone made Charlie's head spin and the butterflies in his belly start to fly. Was he ready to take the next step with Nick? Yes. Did he think Nick was ready to take the next step with him? Yes? Probably? For a short moment he thought about asking Tao about his opinion of if whether Nick seemed ready to him. But he really wanted to stay alive so he could kiss Nick after school today and decided for the better against it.
The real question he had to consider though: Was Charlie actually brave enough to take the next step with Nick?
