Starry-Eyed.

I guess I fell off the face of the Earth (on tumblr) in the past year but now that I have more time (no school and no marathon training), I think I’m going to check in more than before.

Here’s life in a nutshell so far…

1. I ran a marathon. Holy cow. 26.2 miles (even with training) is no joke. I still can’t believe I did that. It was certainly a life accomplishment but I think I will just stick to half marathons or 5ks if I feel like running again.

2. I finished my Master’s program. I can now proudly slap ’M.A.’ at the end of my name on the signature line. It was time consuming, but ultimately, sooooo worth it. Also, my work paid for it so no loans for me!

3. The Professor and I are still going strong! I am in love and I never thought I would find someone who complements me so well. I never second guess my actions and never have to be ‘on’/'perfect’ all the time. I can be myself 100%. What they say is true, 'In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for … Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass.’ (Yes, this quote is from Juno)

4. iPhone 7 is pre ordered and ready for pick up in two weeks ! This is a win since I’ve been using an iPhone 5 since 2013(?).

5. Lots of upcoming trips. Wedding in NYC (technically Jersey City on the Hudson ?). Vegas for mom’s birthday. Halloween in Palm Springs. Portland in November. And Wedding in New Orleans for December.

6. As much as I love my job mostly, there’s quite a bit of uncertainty and instability right now. I am lightly job searching and I made a vow to myself to kick my job search into high gear at the start of 2017 once my trips are done. I know I can be paid more because I think I am an outstanding employee and good at what I do, and I feel so underpaid. Wish me luck !
