But yeah I totally get what you mean. A friend of mine once said that hollow knight technically has a higher percentage of female characters but it really doesn't feel that way, it really feels like silksong has more women from the way they are put front and center. Hornet, first sinner, widow, pinstress, seamstress, herrah, shakra, lace, forge daughter, absalom(yes I know she's a random corpse but she's a character to me!), all the weavers, are only a select few of my favorites. Everyday I construct elaborate tales about what bullshit the weavers were up to prior to their extinction(?) (I hope some distant relatives survived out there where gms couldn't reach) in my head. I think about shakra and lace becoming friends against all odds somehow, I think about pinstress and herrah getting along, I think about first sinner and absalom getting into a fight about a scientific disagreement, I think about widows trauma and if there was any chance she'd be able to come back from that. Sulksong gave me a lot of women to think about and I'm happy for it

The one male character I like (caretaker) is also one I've considered hitting with the transfem beam (basically someone said we should make sherma transfem and I went "Well if you make sherma transfem you have to make caretaker transfem too", and then I thought about the implications a little too hard) (I probably need to state that I'm a snail defender and sympathiser, im also a weaver lover ofc id defend the snails, im not hitting her with the transfem beam because I think she's an evil trickster I'm hitting her with the transfem beam because she's a miserable old lady and I want her to be happy)
