A girl is de-tagging in a changing room of her local boutique, she has her hook out trying to get a tag of a mid thigh length, grey cocktail dress. All of the sudden the door opens… she forgot to lock it. Another girl stands, shocked by what she sees, walks in and closes the door. The second girl slowly pulls out her own hook and starts de-tagging a champagne cocktail dress. They quickly finish, and leave the store together.
They start talking and, realising they both have a knack for lifting and a hunger to get better, decide to leave the town together.
They pack only their lifting tools, disguises, and bags, along with the dresses. Traveling the country together, they stop by malls and standalone stores, they lift everything they could need or want.
They become professional thieves, magicians if you will. Mastering slight of hand, disguises, and even befriending those on the inside months in advance. But they never stay long. As soon as the heist is over, they cut all ties and go.
All they have, all they need, are each other and a car full of stolen goods.
Eventually they settle down in a huge house, the money coming from boosted items, and build a reputation. Everyone sees them as the sweet and innocent, yet high class, gay couple next door… only two of those are correct.
They still travel and steal, but they’ve built a home for themselves, they have somewhere to come back to.
Whenever they pull a high class heist they make sure to where their dresses, the ones they got from that little boutique when they first met.
As they get older they think of all the other lifters, who don’t have someone like they do, and decide to buy that little boutique. They set it up just right and fill it with all the stolen merch they can.
When it opens they invite all the lifters they can find, and let the small time lifters practice( having a few lifters act as LP or watch cameras) so they can get better.
The girls stay out pulling bank heists and lifting, to fill the boutique and give back to the community.
They marry, even adopt kids. But they never give up the life that brought them together.
