Lab Work
I just feel like- I don’t know. I feel as if I did something wrong. Or that this could have been avoided or- I’m not sure. It’s all gotten twisted up.
Tony, there isn’t anything you could have done to avoid this. It’s not like anyone exactly expects ninjas to pop up during a meeting at a school, even one that has experience with weirder things.
*the kettle whistles, and Bruce uncrosses his arms and pulls it off the burner. After pouring enough for the both of them, he hands Tony a mug.*
You want a chance for things between you and Natasha to be okay, right?
*Tony takes the mug, and looks up at Bruce. His eyes are bruised from lack of sleep, and the reactor light shines weakly through his shirt.*
Yeah.
*softly* So we fix this, or the others beat us to the punch by getting back with something that will. And you go from there.
Yeah. *Tony nods, head bobbing like a puppet, then again, more strongly, and reaches to put his hand on Bruce's shoulder.*
Yeah. We'll solve this. Or they will. *he smiles at Bruce, not the movie star smile but the small, hesitant movement of a man with a friend* Thanks.
