a little behind the scenes of my art taking form
some screenshots of the WIP that is my profile picture because i keep forgetting to add a watermark to the final version.
I usually start with some sort of reference (a 3D model for this one, you can see it at the bottom of the last pic.) and slowly build from there just caking on colour. No specific layers or any of the sort its really a trust the process type of situation... I tend to make my art REALLY unsaturated so when its complete I always go and fiddle around with filters and colours.
when i draw characters i never actually know who im gonna draw, I just doodle and let the wind take me wherever. this character ended looking like cyno, but he is a bit on the paler side than how I would prefer to draw cyno so for now he is "unnamed cyno lookalike". lmao first time yapping and I STILL have no idea how to use this app :')

i just KNOW that during their akademiya days alhaitham was so smug about being senior kaveh's favourite. he wouldn't like say it outright or anything but i bet he knew he had priority over anyone else when it came to projects or just having kaveh's attention and he was insufferable about it. the image is so so clear in my head, kaveh who is nice and popular and smart and definitely has the rest of the student body lining up to be lab partners and there comes the local gremlin alhaitham, who is utterly uninterested in being nice to anyone but somehow still has kaveh seeking him out like a magnet. and it's not like kaveh is dismissive or directly refuses to work with anyone else but he has such an obvious soft spot for alhaitham that it completely overrides any other attempts. and alhaitham absolutely used it to his advantage at some point, you can't tell me he didn't "oh senior kaveh said he'll study with me tonight actually" at least once. im so sick of them
