I like that they're canon without actually being canon. Knowing they end up getting married in the future gives all their possible interactions so much intrigue.

The naive, privileged doctor who once told a drug addict to just get a makeover and pull himself up by his bootstraps... only for that same mech to go on and become a notorious mercenary? It's such good drama.

Don’t slime me out for saying this but Rachel and D’Rithe kinda remind me of Judy and Nick from Zootopia

Yeah... you're not wrong (second art by monkiemayhem)

I think the main difference is that Rachel isn't much like Judy. She's much more timid, or at least not as much of a go-getter.

Meanwhile, D'Rithe is like a fusion of Nick Wilde and Deadlock—maybe a bit of MCU Yelena mixed in.
