princess, don’t speak of always like you believe it so.

     she almost flinches from the slip of fingers into her palm, where a delicate fingernail trails and traces over the lines as though she seeks to hunt another destiny in their webs. they cannot outrun it, this red thread that pulls her to him and to tenebrae, but astrals does she wish she could. they’d take to the seas and go elsewhere where the war can’t touch them and the gods will watch on and seethe. Lunafreya would never be that selfish. there is no room for her selfishness, no matter how her chest squeezes every time Lunafreya smiles or how she wishes to kiss her until she’s breathless and her head spins.
