The first Robin to have those little front curls was Dick Grayson. Tim has also sometimes had them. You cannot exclusively identify Jason by them.

Fanon makes a big deal about the Jason vs. Tim titans tower thing and assigns Tim a ton of trauma from it, but honestly for Tim I think it was more equivalent to getting beaten up by a really embarrassing rogue.

Like. Tim is a vigilante. He gets beaten up on the reg. Getting beaten up isn’t traumatizing, it’s Part Of The Job. But this particular beat down is by a fully grown adult male cosplaying as a CHILD SIDEKICK, complete with the SCALY PANTIES. This guy is the robin Tim always kinda thought was a little inferior because nobody else could be The Dick Grayson. This guy is winning. Temu dick grayson is winning.

Like, pre-tower, Tim had zero emotional attachment to Jason’s robin. (If anything, he was kind of judgy, like “I wouldn’t be dumb enough to get killed on the job, unlike the last robin.) So is it traumatizing? No. But embarrassing??? Absolutely.

You can’t tell me Tim didn’t lie awake at night plotting a rematch. He’s got a reputation, man. He will NOT let Robin from Shein have the last word.
