My TNG rewatch has just reached âJusticeâ andâ
Christ. Letâs say it hasnât aged well and leave it at that.
Wesley should have heeded this timeless advice.
Iâve had to stop. Iâll watch the rest later when Iâm drunk.
Aha thereâs always a Partridge quote.
Me, sober, watching the end of âJusticeâ.
Little glimpse into the scary-if-you-think-about-it-for-a-moment world of the Federationâs justice system and prevailing theories on the sociology of deviance.
Work with me, but I have a theory that if this episode had been made in the 60s and was an episode of TOS, it would be more or less ok. The aesthetic would be wacky not sheesh, and it would probably be Chekov not Wesley. And Kirk would be laughing and mugging at the authorities. And all the God stuff is pretty par for the course. Iâm not saying it would be a classic but it wouldnât make me want to fold into myself and scream into a cushion.
Sisko would have sorted out this whole business in fifteen minutes.
*needle scratch*
V/O: yeah, thatâs meâŚ
