My primary inspiration for the composition for this was... the Sistine Chapel LMAO. Lots of paintings making up one illulstration.
Some preliminary designs for Vox and Alastor so I'd know how I want them to look. For Alastor, I wanted him to have some more softness in his hair, make him look more floral. Vox is a damn tv, not much I can do to make him more floral xD Except put a bunch of flowers in him
Since this was going to have a lot of colors, and I wanted all of them to be cohesive, I imposed an artificial gamut on myself. You can find this tool here.
in traditional painting, your gamut is natrually limited by the physical properties of the primary paints you have on a palette. In digital art, you have access to an extremely wide gamut, and it can become tempting to choose colors that are extremely far from each other and may not mesh well because of it, especially when there's a LOT of colors being used. Limiting yourself can make it look more cohesive.
