Yea you guessed right it was also for design reasons it made his design too colorful and I don't want to use the word tacky but I dont have a better one lol

But for the highlights reason they get it from their mother Evelyn its like a hint to her more magical origins its also symbolic like garroths the sun, zane the moon, and vylad the earth kinda thing

But she functions mostly the same as the original version, but she does play more of a role in the fight for Okasis. She's mostly in it for herself, but she does help Garroth save Evelyn from execution because Evelyn helped her escape Okasis and her father

my kim in my rewrite is a very minor role in season one but in season two she has a decently large role

ok so kim is jeffory's younger sister and they are cousins to the the ro'meave brothers (along with the theives guild boss that will be another post ill do soon)

but the bloodline has traits from Esmund aka tall and very strong and thick skin and the ability to summon soul weapons(like steven universe gem weapons but doesn't have to come from a certain area) that goes for everybody except kim.

like Vylad she also can speak to the dead, but differently, which resembles an ability from Esmund's wife, Aurora, who is being possessed by the dead to help them move on and to see the future

But every woman who had the ability was seen as mad and sent to nunnerys, but with Kimmy, she was used as a tool by Michael and Zane to further their plans and how to find the irene dimension

but in season 2 abby and co. Found out Michael put a seal on the Irene dimension that only someone from the Ro'meave bloodline can gain entry. they couldn't use vylad because he's undead. So they actually go to find Elizabeth Jeffory's daughter, but Vylad tells them of Kim, so she's found and gets kidnapped/freed from the church by Abby

and Aaron, who stole her blood to open the portal, but my thoughts on that storyline is for another day

Ok the one on his forehead is from the rampage he went on after he found vylad was burned at the stake by a village for freeing prisoner which were mythical creatures that were gonna be sold on the black market, but seeing vlyad cause a cursed soul of one of the seven deadly sins entered garroths and his mother is actually the one that gave it to him to revert the transformation

And the second one on his cheek and nose area is from zenix when he betrayed phoenix drop zenix was aiming to cut his head off but the helmet stopped him from doing so but still a really deep cut

And also why the forehead one is stitched and the cheek one isn't is because his mother treated the first one and garroth doesn't know how to properly stich wounds and refused help from anyone cause the whole 'im a supposed dead prince and can't let anyone see my face'

And the most ironic thing about the scars is garroth was very full of himself before vylad died. Claiming he had never been cut by any blade. At times boasting abt it

ALSO i have realized I've never lore dumped about blazes place in my rewrite

He comes in around the time of the werewolf wedding. He's the bastard older half-brother (through the mother) to the werewolf prince and was ostracized by the pack because of it, and he was left to his own devices a lot as a child and left to wander the Yggdrasil forest(the magic forest where the elves and hyria live), and the forest is full of hidden runes, artifacts, and curses in blaze's case

and around the age 13-14 he find this worlds version of the fountain of youth but its a curse of immortallity and it can make you slowly lose their mind, and forbidden to touch by all inhabitants and when the alpha find out blaze consumed it, the pack tried to execute Blaze, but obviously, he's unkillable now so he was just thrown into the dungeon, where he later meets Abby (aphmau) and helps them escape and fought off laurance during his break down instead of the cringey imo "this isnt you laurance :((((!!!!!"

i might storyboard that, so stay tuned for that lol

But Blaze does join the group and calls Abby boss lady cause i think it's funny. and becoming Vylad and Dantes' worst fucking nightmare/ becoming best friends in Blaze's eyes
