in some aspects, misella is thankful for the reprieve of this new world. a land without sins nor vision orbs means there’s less pressure to fear a society who oppresses with a watchful eye. certainly, she still notices the citizens who glance her way with a wary expression; but that’s far better than the alternative to being seen and attacked by a team of enforcers.
the downside to the arrangement is that she has entirely lost her party. she’d like to blame vicious for this particular endeavor, and even if he has nothing to do with this incident, she’ll still blame him anyways. from the beginning, it has always been his fault in any situation where misella loses sight of kanata. she can’t even be fully sure that he’s here with her, but that won’t stop her from attempting to seek him out in any given opportunity.
which is how she stumbles into aegis in the seemingly infinite forest of blackgrove. she comes across the place by accident, and through an unfortunate mishap, she can’t seem to find her way out. she isn’t sure if aegis is in the same position, but since they’ve reunited and have traveled together for a few hours now, misella finds it time to remark bluntly:
❝ we’re lost. ❞
