I’m not sure I ever told you.

In the beginning, I read one page from “the sun and her flowers” after every time I saw you. And each day, I left a little note. They start on page 155 (the night we met) and end on page 185 (the day you took me to Shenandoah). I guess it was a way for me to metabolize nuestra conexión con las palabras que aún no podía formar yo misma.

Occasionally, the universe drops memories of you without warning. A small raindrop inevitably followed by a sunshower of reminiscence.

I have a lot of feelings about turning 30. And then again, I don’t. I still feel like the same college kid who made a fool of herself in friendships and in love. The same girl that dreamed about the two letters that are now at the end of my name. I haven’t released any souls from my heart and at this point I suspect I never will. Every adventure inspires the next. Every friendship softens me. And every love brings me closer to my spirituality. I’ve learned to make it all part of my core.

What a blessing it is to have everything i’ve ever wanted.
