SHADOWS OF YESTERDAY
This piece emerged from my reflections on the hidden force pulsating beneath the surface of everyday things. I used gold as a symbol of eternity and light, applying lines with thin, almost calligraphic strokes to convey the very movement of life. At the center of the composition lies a vivid red accent, a kind of emotional nerve that draws the eye and holds one's attention. The impasto technique allowed me to create a relief-like, tactile surface that emphasizes the uniqueness of Ecuadorian light, which here in the Andes feels denser and more brilliant. Interestingly, the harsh Andean climate and high-altitude sun cause pigments to behave differently, giving the colors a special, almost primal depth. For me, this painting is a search for balance between the chaos of fine lines and the strict harmony of the golden background. It is filled with the warmth of my new home in Ecuador and is ready to become the energetic centerpiece of your interior. I believe that art should be more than just decoration; it should be a living dialogue between the artist and the viewer.
