There's no greater shock than returning to a world that has left him behind. Over twenty years ago Korea felt far less flashy than it was today ( and he didn't think it could get any more expressive than the 90s ) but all was dismissed for the very glaring detail he couldn't ignore—because it was shoved in his face at every block. He hardly recognized the baby that he couldn't bear to leave behind but the more he stared at the billboards, posters and signs he couldn't deny what the headlines already gave away. His Rumi was just like her mother. There was a swell of pride that was quickly overrun by guilt that he wasn't there to see her grow but if she hadn't completely given up on him he was hoping to change that—Celine permitting.

A shock to his nerves understands the task that he's set up for himself in finding Celine and talking to her. Haemin may have been naive but he wasn't blind to the very obvious fact that Celine didn't exactly consider him a friend. Being a foe in her eyes had always made the thought of them interacting an impossibility in Miyeong's eyes, but he sadly understood the circumstances. There was no explaining himself to another hunter, despite his relationship with Miyeong, nor could he blame the negative perception she had of demons in general, given the history. All of that had effectively become moot to Haemin when Rumi was born, and he was prepared to do what he didn't decades ago and challenge that perspective for a chance to see his daughter.

As tough as he wanted to be, he wasn't in any shape to be making demands, and it wasn't exactly in his nature to demand much of anything. In addition to his clumsiness the past few years' torture lived on the surface of his body and speed at which he moved. He felt drained just keeping up this disguise, the limits of his powers were essentially tapped just to keep up appearances. A hand tucked underneath his arm rested on an aching ribcage that still housed a searing pain he hadn't figured out how to forego, but persisted nonetheless.

With the honmoon settled & both her & Rumi having gone back to talking terms (mostly), she decided to remain in Seoul for sometime to clear her mind. Staying in Jeju would have surely driven her mad with the amount of isolation she gave herself over there; she needed noise to fill the voices in her head. Luckily it was getting better as the days went by, giving her some sort of hope that perhaps she could grow from this & move on.

Such wishful thinking that was.

Having set foot inside her office today, she remained busy with paperwork, reviewing them under the silence of her minimal office. It was why she was surprised by the sound of a knock coming from behind her door, wondering who it could have been. She wasn't informed of a visitor stopping by today, could it be one of the girls?

No...that didn't make sense. Today was their rehearsal for their upcoming show, there was no reason for any of them to be here.

Sighing, she got up from her seat & walked toward the door, opening it without thinking much...until her gaze settled upon the stranger in front of her.

It took a moment for her to process the face, as he looked vaguely familiar, but she couldn't quite put a name to it. As she was about to ask about his identity, though, he then spoke. & just like that---everything seemed to come crashing through.

Him...him. The one that was responsible for taking Mi-Yeong from her, the one that brought Rumi into the world---this guy---

A flick of both wrists brought forward her ssanggeom, immediately getting into position as she wielded a blade directly at him. " What do you want? " she asked in a deep, unsettling tone. Did he come to haunt her? To remind her of what she lost & the suffering she went through all this time? Was that it?
