so people can in fact see that teenage daeron is being abused and manipulated by an older relative into a position he never wanted but have for some reason been unable to extend the same understanding and sympathy to alicent who went through exactly the same thing at his age……right.

i genuinely do not understand how people could watch rhaenyra tell ulf that the crown owns his labor and body entirely and that he is now only an extension of the throne, imprisoned in the red keep with no autonomy or will of his own, denying him access to his friends and freedom of movement, and come out of that scene thinking that ulf is a cringe loser who needs to know his place. you people are under spells.

every single person watching the show from their living room is astronomically closer to ulf than to rhaenyra. please tell me you understand this.

i need to stay alive for hotd s4 when everyone’s dying out and becoming myths and we start to see history reshaping itself to the new world’s whims, and fire and blood’s “characters” start to form out of archetypes while the figures trapped in that history can only look on. Lol

because Ormund Hightower getting in his teenage nephew’s face and coke ranting about the glory of the Hightower Reconquista that he has made up in his head that they are divinely ordained to accomplish to because of their special blood and no one understands but them IS exactly how Daemon was moving with fifteen year-old Rhaenyra in the first season of this show. kind of insane

I like how Daemon doesn’t have a stealth mode whatsoever so his master plan to deceive someone has every single time been “find an innocent civilian, burn them beyond recognition, and pass them off as a different dead guy”. And it always works bc who would suspect Daemon of not killing a guy when given the chance
