Thoughts about the situation in Redcliffe again.

Gwyn spends hours using every restraining and warding glyph at his disposal in the castle to hopefully keep the thing contained till they get back from the Circle tower.

He 100% does not believe Connor is salvageable at any point.

But Gwyn was Irving's apprentice, and his calculating side has fully kicked in. He knows he, as an elf, absolutely cannot be seen to perform a blood magic ritual that also murders the arl's wife, so his thought process/vision of the future is roughly:

Go to the tower, bring back someone else to deliver the bad news. Preferably Irving, since he's human and as the First Enchanter he'll be seen as more of an authority figure.

Connor is declared a lost cause. Very sad, we did all we could, etc etc, and critically this message is not coming from someone who would quite like support from the arl sometime in the near future.

Gwyn's hands are clean and he's been publicly seen to go to great lengths to help in an impossible situation
