Spongebob could hardly believe it! Squidward asking if he could spend the day with Spongebob?! Without any prior begging or negotiation whatsoever? He must be dreaming!

… Or there might have been something very wrong with his neighbour. Spongebob might have done well to be suspicious, but he didn’t have the heart to question his motives. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity!  “Of course! I’d love that, Squiddy!”

𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚔𝚝𝚘𝚗 nervously glanced at the clock, feeling as if the ticking was taunting him. ‘𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕤𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕕 𝕙𝕚𝕞 𝕠𝕗𝕗, 𝕊𝕙𝕖𝕝𝕕𝕠𝕟.’ He imagined the clock saying as it’s hands pointed to 7 and 3. “Seven fifteen.” 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚔𝚝𝚘𝚗 sighed, worried that ᔕᑭOᑎGEᗷOᗷ had been running late. He knew, of course, that such aGOOᗪ ᕼEᗩᖇTEᗪ ᔕᑭOᑎGE  wouldn’t stand him up, but that didn’t stop his 𝙖𝙣𝙭𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 from nagging at him

He’d spent so long getting ready! Hopefully Plankton could forgive him for being late, even if it was unlike him. He just wanted to make sure he looked perfect for their date-- uh, dinner together, that is! A meal as two friends... single, friends. Single friends who liked to spend time together. That’s all this was.

Realizing both hands were full with the gifts he had gotten for him (both of which were hidden behind his back), Spongebob knocked on the door to The Chum Bucket best he could with his foot, frowning in concentration. Hopefully it was audible enough that Plankton would come to the door soon.

“Plankton, I’m here!” He sang, jovially, just in case the copepod hadn’t heard. “Are you reaaady?”

“ What? Am I not good enough for you???”

“Of course you are, Squiddy! I’m just curious as to what another you would be like!”

“So it’s really gonna b-be ok? ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʀᴏᴍɪsᴇ?” pσllєn and flσwєrs, huh? 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚔𝚝𝚘𝚗 regretted walking Spot through the 𝘽𝙞𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙞 𝘽𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙤𝙢 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 on ‘𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲’ just last week. No wonder he got ‘𝙝𝙖𝙮𝙛𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧r’ as ᔕᑭOᑎGEᗷOᗷ so kindly puts it.

“C-can you…maybe…come with me to the 𝐵𝒶𝓇𝑔𝒶𝒾𝓃 𝑀𝒶𝓇𝓉 to get some medicine? I don’t think I could last a second in there αℓℓ ву муѕєℓf…”

“Sure!” Spongebob agreed, nodding, lifting Plankton up so he could place the small copepod on his head- made things a lot easier than simply walking and having to stop every few feet so the lil’ guy could catch up. “I was headed there anyway! Hope you don’t mind if I do some shopping of my own while we’re there.”
