Hype moments and aura

I really hate when monster fans refer to Nina Fortner as Anna Liebert even though the narrative establishes the identity she chooses in the end is Nina Fortner and to call her anything else feels like a weird disregard of her entire character arc but what's even more frustrating is that doing so also erases what makes Anna Liebert so interesting because at one point Nina was Anna but she is no longer her and at one point Johan was Anna but he is also no longer her so the identity of Anna Liebert is an unclaimed hollow shell that is actively haunting the narrative despite not existing in the first place and that's so much more interesting

The funniest thing Hunter X Hunter ever did was, instead of showing, or even hinting at, who Gon’s mom is, it instead gives his dad toxic yaoi with an evil politician named after Paris Hilton.

Gon truly is the character of all time. He canonically eat grass. He has a codepended friendship with an ex proficional asssassin. A grieving criminal talked to him for five minutes and decided "I want you on my murder team". He know how to fish and smell weather changes. People have no way to disprove his mom is a rock. He is simple minded but incredible creative and smart. He gets super hyped at the idea of being in mortal danger. He jumped out of a boat to rescue a random sailor, putting his full trust on two stranger he has only ever seen arguing to not let him fall to his death. He loves and grieves his loved ones so strongly killing himself is always the first option. He made his best friend obliterate his hands in a dodgeball game because keeping everyone unharmed would involved teaming up with someone he isn't insane about. He doesn't give a shit about himself. He is self centered and reckless. He tries to buy a game that costs 8 billion. Math has defeated him in a fight. He is prideful despite constantly feeling weak. Self harm is his first response to guilt. He is so kind it hurts. He is 12 years old.
