I finally found my old backup folder, and Iâve reuploaded my old âno CC base simsâ to SFS. Iâve also gone back and updated all the links on the old download pages:
Iâve gotten some asks recently about some of my old base sims for TS3, because it seems that the MEGA account I uploaded them to isnât working. Iâll see if I have them saved in my backups, and if I can find them, Iâll reupload to SFS.
Iâve also received some asks about my old Game of Thrones sims, and sadly no, I donât have those anymore.
Did you know that Bridgeport is based on the Pacific Northwest (aka Seattle with a little bit of San Fran and Vancouver thrown in)? I had a suspicion, and Iâve always thought the city was missing something!Â

Pine Terrace is home to both the Pine Grounds rock festival grounds, as well as Pinewood Studios, its filmmaking studio.

Notes:
Both lots require EPs to be fully playable: Pine Grounds takes its lot designation (Live Show Venue) from Showtime, while Pinewood Studios uses the Movie Studio rabbithole from Late Night. Pinewood Studios also makes pretty extensive use of items from other EPs and SPs: World Adventures, Showtime, Island Paradise, and Movie Stuff were most intensively used.
Unusually for a build from this series, the store items function mainly as set dressing here, without a lot of premium / functional items involved. Both lots rely pretty heavily on their EP-specific functions for their gameplay.
Tips about missing CC + notes about playability:
As I did for a few lots I have covered in the past, I am reuploading some of the custom content. I do not take any credit for the reuploaded items, I am merely sharing them after their original creators became unable or unwilling to do it themselves. I have explained the grounds on which I decided which content to include or exclude on the main page for the Cottonwood Hills project.
I want to stress, again, that my reuploading the content is not meant in any way to imply that I take any credit for the creation of these items. They belong to their original creators. Iâm just making them available to the newer downloaders who may not have had the opportunity to snag these items when they were still around.
Festival Grounds | Movie Studios
All custom patterns for both lots are properly identified and sourced, partially because Martine didnât use very many of them in these particular lots. Any patterns used were also totally free of any sims3pack â> package conversion related bugs, which means absolutely no texture adjusting is needed.
As always, donât be shy about letting me know of any items that arenât showing up for you, even after downloading everything Iâve linked and/or reuploaded. I appreciate the extra eyes on my work, and rest assured that all the feedback goes back into correcting errors and improving these lists for everyone else who reads them.

My home screen is just one of the default backgrounds that shipped with my iPhone. In general, I donât like to have a personalized image for my home screen, because I feel the app icons just cover it up anyway. The last song I listened to is âGreen Birdâ, from Cowboy Bebop.
However, what I really wanted to talk about (since itâs timely at the moment) is my lock screen, which Iâve had since last April. As you may be able to tell even without the benefit of any context, itâs quite a politically charged piece of art, and I have selected it as my home screen for precisely this reason.
I donât often talk about politics on Tumblr, and still less about specifically Korean politics. But since today is an important national holiday, and since recent developments have been bringing these issues to the fore for a lot of Koreans including myself, I thought talking about this image would be a good chance to talk about more of the political history behind our current situation that people from other countries are often not aware of.
I know the prompt asks that I tag people, but as the rest of this post gets rather political, and I donât want to risk dragging people unwillingly into that, Iâll skip that part of the exercise this time.
(Like I ever really tag anyone in these things.)

Thank you for letting me know! I admit I didnât fully test this on fat sims before releasing, and this message makes me realize I probably should have done that.
If itâs not too much trouble, I wonder if you could send me a screenshot of the issue in action? Itâs definitely not your responsibility to help fix a mistake that I made, but having that would probably help me get to fixing this problem faster. Feel free to do it through messenger if thatâs more convenient!

I actually managed to finish this before summer was over!
Just a simple, sporty burkini for anyone who might be feeling underserviced by the Island Living CAS catalogue, seeing as the new swimwear was mostly skimpy bikinis.
(Not that thereâs anything wrong with skimpy bikinis. Just that theyâre not exactly the most versatile or practical option out there for swimwear.)

If you prefer to have it disabled, itâs very easy to open up the package in Sims 4 Studio and fix that by ticking a couple boxes.
Itâs tagged for the âMiddle-Easternâ and âSouth Asianâ archetypes, so that might affect spawning behavior.
Recolors are absolutely encouraged, and Iâll eventually get around to releasing a PSD, but if you want to just go ahead, I can provide a very basic work file with the âchannelsâ masked out at the very least.
My TOU is pretty open... just donât be a dick, donât steal credit, and donât make money off my content when Iâm providing it for free.

I know itâs time to move on from complaining about the re brand, it doesnât affect the game, stop being negative, yada yada, but I checked out the website to see what had changed and hear me outâŚ
Iâm honestly not mad that they decided to rebrand at all. Iâm the type of person that loves seeing companies take a new visual direction for their products, as brand identity is pretty important.
But thisâŚ? This was a complete miss. Theyâve basically just taken the color pallet from DOS, slapped it all over the place, and called it âenergeticâ and âfreshâ.Â
Iâm not kidding, look at this and tell me they donât use the exact same colors:
I havenât opened my game yet after the rebranding bc I really donât look forward to subjecting my eyes to this. I suffer from chronic migraines, and being forced to stare at flashing lights or nothing BUT overly saturated colors for too long are absolutely triggers for me.
I know I canât speak for any colorblind people, but I also feel like this design isnât going to be great for them either? From what I know, a lot of colorblind ppl have trouble distinguishing between different colors of the same value / intensity, so by removing so much dark / light contrast from the design, I feel like EA has done that segment of the population no favors.
đ Tutorial: Tag your CC objects using titles like a PRO â¨
This short and easy tutorial will teach you how to hide text in the title of an object in the catalog. Why? As you know, a lot of CC creators âtagâ their items by including their name and/or the set name in the titles of their objects, so people can filter the catalog easily when using the search bar.
Exemple: Exhibition set - Standing label - MLys
In this exemple, people can find the object by searching the tag words âMLysâ or âExhibitionâ. Cool! But that title looks long and not really aesthetically pleasing right? So what if I told you that you can keep those tags hidden?Â
All you have to do in Sims4Studio is: write your title, put the â|â caracter right after, add a space, and write all the tag words that you want hidden (separate each tag with a space).

As you can see, if you look for the the words âPufferheadâ, the results will show you all the objects from the Pufferhead pack, even if their title donât include that word!! (but we both know that they secretly do *wink*)
The tag possibilities are endless without worrying about the aesthetic! If you are motivated enough, you can use this technique on all the CC you own, with the tags that personally suit you. On the picture above, Iâve added the tag words of the CC creator @litttlecakes + a theme tag
That's it! Iâve discovered this technique by coincidence, and havenât found anything written about it even on the S4S forum, so I thought I could share!
In another episode of âSpoons learns to build and decorate by copying other peopleâs lots from the ground upâ, Iâve done a house in Sulani (after another one of FredBrennyâs TS3 lots).
The original house didnât have this many windows, particularly in the dining area, but I just loved the way this layout looked, especially at sunset.
Thanks in particular to @serenebluesims for much of the furniture and decoration used on this lot. Her brand of airy yet cosy elegance just feels so completely right for the âdolce far nienteâ atmosphere of this build.

To celebrate getting a new laptop (and returning to simming soon, hopefully), some screenshots of the rental lot in Selvadorada that Iâd been making over before it all went kaput.
I had a lot of fun keeping things maxis-match (or close enough, anyway, that seashell decor item doesnât strictly pass muster) while also reinterpreting the lot closer to the kind of establishment that the original EA build was meant to replicate.
It involved:
Getting rid of a lot of the fancier furniture and decorations (including the glass-and-ornately-carved-wood sink and the hipster refrigerator) in favor of homelier, more rough-hewn and less finished looking furnishings.
Removing all sinks, and instead installing a âwater pumpâ in the front yard, in orderto simulate a property with only minimal access to running water... this being the cheapest rental in Selvadorada, I felt that fit much better.
To that end, I also added a (CC) washtub and clothesline, because rough-and-tumble adventurers donât tend to have a lot of spare clean clothing lying around.
Unfortunately, there were limits to how "realisticâ I could really make things... I kinda had to provide ready plumbing in the form of an actual toilet (though I tried to use one that looked like it could belong in an outhouse) and a bathtub. I suppose I could have insisted on going hard-core and not had either (replacing their functions with a toilet bush + showers-in-a-can), but I decided it wouldnât be much fun to try and push things that far.
Also added stains and cracks to the walls, since theyâd mostly come with expansion content that wasnât from JA.
I was pretty pleased at how it all turned out. Not only did the lot feel far more realistically grimy after my edits, but it actually became even cheaper to rent than the original EA build had been. Not bad work for an eveningâs (re)decorating.

I used a lot of items from these two camping set by Sandy @aroundthesims. At the very least, the kitchen âstoveâ, small âfoldingâ table in the kitchen, and the washtub come from there.
The stand-alone countertops can be found here, from @zx-ta.
The folding chairs in the kitchen come from @pictureamoebae, as well as her recolor of the deco leaning folded chair by @stefizzi.
Most of the clutter on the kitchen shelves is by BrazenLotus, and were probably all separated out from Jungle Adventures. The only exception is the conch shell, which can be found here (warning: T$R alert).
The bed frame is from this set by @peacemaker-ic.
I replaced the expensive-looking end tables with these considerably rougher-looking ones from zx-ta again, from this set. (I could have probably used the frame from the same set for the bed actually, and I was severely tempted to just because itâs a great piece of furniture... but for whatever reason it just didnât look right.)
The mirror I placed over the dresser comes from @naturalsimmster, and can be downloaded here.
Lastly, the outdoor water pump is by artrui and can be downloaded here. (Marion / OhMySims has also done a slightly different version of the same idea, though it might be a pain to track down a working download link.)
Tumblr is up for sale (again) as its parent company Verizon doesn't seem to know to what to do with it according to The Wall Street Journal. Verizon has talked to several potential buyers but nothing is confirmed yet.
