⋆˚꩜ Aaron likes the oldies. Old music, old movies… he’ll rewatch his favorite show any day over trying a new one.

⋆˚꩜ He doesn’t enjoy scary movies so much (occupational hazard) but he’ll watch them with you if you really want.

⋆˚꩜ Aaron goes on daily morning runs. By morning he means 5 am. He would often let you sleep in. On the days you decide to join him he would be thrilled, carrying a little extra pep in his step.

⋆˚꩜ He knows your coffee order by heart, showing off his barista skills by having it ready for you every morning.

⋆˚꩜ Aaron likes the exercise control in ALL things.. including your safety. Expect this man to have Life360 installed on your phone by the second date.

⋆˚꩜ Date nights are the same, he’s got it all planned out. On random days you’ll get a text message from him saying, “Dinner is at 7. Be ready by 6 for a surprise.”

⋆˚꩜ Aaron is NOT a golden retriever boyfriend. He is a german shepherd boyfriend. Fierce. Loyal. Protective. Territorial. Intense.

⋆˚꩜ But he is the ultimate sweetheart for you. Your presence flips the off switch for Unit Chief Aaron and the on switch for Domestic Aaron.

⋆˚꩜ Aaron doesn’t really like to drink, but keeps a close eye on you if you decide to. Bar nights with the team usually end with a slightly tipsy you, and a very amused Aaron guiding you to the car with a hand on the small of your back.

Adam is the most generous and thoughtful partner. He’s constantly surprising you with little gifts and favors, it makes him happy to see the curve of your lips and the sparkle in your eye.

His love language is physical affection obviously.

After being denied gentle touch for so long he is always eager to make up for it with you. Expect giant limbs to be pulling you toward him, braiding each others hair, tracing the scars from his stitching, and always feeling safe in his arms.

This being said, at the beginning of your relationship, Adam was terrified to lay a finger on you. He knew his strength was abnormal and he hadn’t quite perfected all of his finer motor skills. After lots of reassurance and practice he eventually got the hang of it, and then he never let go.

Adam is a fierce protector. His trauma in finding the blind old man hurt and dying made a lasting imprint on him. Adam had vowed to essentially never let you leave his sight, to be by your side always. Just in case.

His favorite activity with you is taking bubble baths. The warmth, the intimacy, the magic of the floating bubbles… those moments are perfect to him.

Adam is also a lover and a protector of animals, so expect cuddle piles with him and the strays of the forest.

He sometimes still has nightmares, memories from different men. Occasionally you’ll wake to find him grunting or crying in his sleep. Gently, you shake his shoulders and his eyes snap open filled with fear and sadness. In moments like this you cradle his head, now being the one to protect him from the ghosts of his past.

Intimacy with Adam was somewhat tricky at first, but just like cuddling, the two of you got the hang of it quickly.

Once again, Adam is a generous and thoughtful partner. This definitely reflects in the bedroom. He is far more concerned about your pleasure (and seeing that beautiful face you make) than his own.

Adam prefers to keep things in the bedroom. He understands the vulnerable position it puts you in and is more comfortable in a locked room where he knows you’ll be safe.

Victor did in fact… make him well endowed.

His favorite position is to have you ride him. With your height difference it makes it easier for him to look into your eyes and hold you close. Plus there’s less chance of him accidentally hurting you.

However. Adam is the child of both flesh and machine. His endurance is essentially never ending. The minute he notices you slow down or get tired he’s flipping you over onto the mattress to continue his ministrations.

You would think this man invented aftercare. The way he gently tends to your body, rubbing over any areas that might be sore. Need water? He’s already got it. Cuddles? Say no more.

At first, the concept of possession was completely foreign to Adam. He could not comprehend that anything or anyone might ever belong to him, that he might be trusted in such a way.

Only when he was sure of your free willing commitment and devotion to him did the feeling start to creep in.

It started in small ways. His desire to protect and defend grew by the day. You were just so precious, he thought, if anything were to happen to you he would be lost.

His devotion to you was unparalleled and he longed to be in your presence always. When you needed to take a trip to the market, everything changed.

Adam insisted he must go with you, but when the pair of you arrived he began to take notice of the way hungry eyes lingered on your figure. Something deep within him, something unfamiliar yet instinctual sounded an alarm.

He was used to onlookers staring at him, but their eyes always held fear and disgust. The way these strangers regarded you was far more sinister.

Before he knew what he was doing, Adam reached his long arm around your middle and pulled you flush against his chest, planting his other hand firmly on your shoulder.

The way you looked up at him… so adoring, so trusting. It moved something within him.

From that day Adam started growing more possessive. He now understood that others craved what was his, your love.

Trips to town alone were officially out of the question. Forget about it!

His hulking frame was usually enough to deter any potential suitors from seeking your attention.

However, every once in a while, some townsman or merchant (probably stinking of brandy) would come slinking up to you.

Adam was a respectable man, always trying the pen before the sword.

With a reassuring grip on you by his side Adam would try to reason with them, saying goodnight and attempting to escort you away.

He would use violence only in absolute necessity. It troubled him, but he would do anything to keep you safe… his.

Also he barely touches the guy (super strength) and he’s scampering away howling in pain. Tell me that’s not hot.

In this the year of our Lord 2025 Adam is about 230 years old give or take.

He’s lived many different lifetimes since his birth, yet none of them held as much meaning as when he met you.

Adam’s peculiar disposition is what intrigued you about him. Aside from his strange scarring and hulking figure, what really drew you in was the way he spoke… the way he acted. No man you had ever met behaved in such a pure fashion.

He was apprehensive of your friendship at first. 200 years had still not proved enough time for him to work through his insecurities.

When you responded by ignoring his hesitation entirely, he was bewildered.

“I don’t believe a public outing is appropriate..” he begins

You cut him off, waving a hand “Oh save it, I really want to see this movie and you can’t let me go alone. Besides, it’s dark in there anyway!”

You were right. Adam could not bear to let you go alone, to not be by your side.

Adam learned he loved going to the movie theater after that.

Slowly, you introduced him to everything he had forbidden from himself all these years.

In time, the two of you learned that he also enjoyed museums, legos and puzzles, pan style pizza, romantic comedies, and botanical gardens.

One night you find him awake whispering to himself in the living room.

As you approach you can start to make out his words, “I must thank you after all, Father. For in making me an immortal wretch, you have finally gifted me a companion.”

When Adam first learned of your condition(s) he took it upon himself to read anything and everything he could get his hands on to educate himself about it.

He had always known that humans were not as sturdy as him, but he was learning that your illnesses left you particularly vulnerable even amongst humans.

Though your body was frail he never saw you as weak. Adam was familiar with pain and he recognized it within you. He admired the way you weathered hardships and still kept a graceful spirit.

On particularly hard nights he would not leave your side. (like he would anyway) He would sit beside you at your beck and call, desperate to help in any way to alleviate your pain.

If you take medicine he would insist on helping dispense it to you. His hulking fingers grasping delicately at the pills or tonic. He holds them with such reverence, knowing how much they help you.

While it pains him so, Adam knows he cannot completely fix or cure you. When it hits you the hardest he is there to hold you. His hands steady your heaving body as you sob. And he lets you. He knows that all he can do is lightly stroke your hair and be present with you during the storm.

On the better days he is eager to indulge your every whim. A stroll through the nearby wood, baking dessert breads together, even a bonfire at night if you so desire. The smile that reaches your eyes is worth it all to him.

Thick, mossy air

Rumbles of thunder,

Reaching hands grasp—

For something other

When predators play

And nature abides them,

The legends all say—

There’s no use in hiding

On instinct alone,

A shadowed beast sees

Wolf of the Wilds

Whispers through trees—

Alone, he atoned

On a penitent breeze.

“Fallen High Lord! Stripped of regality!”

“Restless and caged by his own immortality!”

Unyielding to fate,

To betrayal’s sharp sting,

He vowed a new oath—

A rebirth in Spring.

To mend what was broken,

Reforging the tether,

To stand in his stead,

As sure as the weather.

In Spring’s slow renewal,

Through patience and grace,

The warrior returned—

Found peace in his place.
