About the dw controversy, I've made posts about it but currently, I'm choosing too remain mixed on it. I'm staying in the fandom and making content but I honestly don't really wanna delve anymore into the situation then I've already have as it really ate at my mental state! I do hope Qwelver makes a response but I'm just gonna continue engaging with the fandom for now.

Something I've realized about the Dandy's World fandom is that you can pretty much just pull whatever ship out your ass and it works.
Like the characters are so moldable and have so many potential dynamics that you could just make something up based off their interactions and personalities with some fun in the mix and BOOM! New ship!

Like because her whole thing is being a famous gameshow host but essentially thats all shes really viewed as and nothing more. Like she basically has everything she could want but at the cost of being viewed as nothing more then an intelligent robot.
Obviously not all the toons view her this way its more so her audience and yk, Arthur and Delilah since they made plans for a Vee Version 2 and didn't account for how it might make Vee feel. They probably don't think shes fully sentient either but thats just a headcanon.
And the song is kinda like about how Fame is everything until you are nothing yk? At least thats how I view it. The public eye will never view you as how you view yourself, which in this case, Vee is seen as a robot by everyone else while she sees herself as a sentient and conscious toon, "more then her code" as she said in her lore video with Veronica.

Okay so basically this au is where Shelly DIES but is revived but Dandy used lethal ichor instead for "reasons" and because he used it instead of regular, pure ichor or whatever toons are usually made of, Shelly becomes lethal. She doesn't know this until like later and stuff so uhhhhhh shhhhh ๐

Nobody carry torches and throw pitchforks at me, but there's something I REALLY want to discuss (plus some personal opinions).
We've all heard about the Qwelver drama, right? I'm still disappointed at Qwelver for literally throwing people under the bus just to keep her image clean, even if it meant her closest friends. There's more to say but overall I still want to enjoy Dandy's World and the characters, just want to separate the art from the artist.
I've seen people say negative stuff about Dandy's World, like too many skins or it's too grindy, when in reality almost every Roblox game is the same.
What I ACTUALLY want to talk about right now is people are harassing Dandy's World fans for simply posting stuff, or ships, or a character they like from DW.
You're being downright rude, either op could be oblivious of the situation or they simply want to push Qwelver aside so they can rather enjoy the characters and the lore.
I get it, some people don't want to be associated with Qwel anymore and still liking the characters is absolutely fine. Don't fucking be rude and send death threats to DW fans.
I my personal opinion, I can't just stop selfshipping with Astro all because of some stupid drama, I will forever love Astro and no one can stop me.
All I hope is that Qwelver HAS to fix this, she runs away from her problems and doesn't want to take responsibility for ANYTHING bad.
This is YOUR problem, YOUR responsibility, and YOUR drama you have to fix if you don't want your reputation to fucking collapse, YOU better come up with a well written response or else the community will be in shambles.
She can't become like Ren and not address the situation, or else her server will be spammed with elephants in channels!!!
I'd like too add, stop getting mad at people for still playing the game. I GET IT, I REALLY DO!! I have been trying too play it less or just not touch it but unfortunately the game has been a coping mechanism for a long time and I just overall enjoyed it, some people may have it similar too me where its hard too let go. People need too understand that NO ONE IS A BAD PERSON FOR STILL WANTING OR FEELING THE URGE TOO PLAY THE DAMN GAME OR ENGAGE WITH IT, they're not enablers of bad people, in most cases they're too young, unaware, or really just don't have the mental state too handle this controversy.
I'm tired of seeing CHILDREN get harassed over something they have no control over, and even if they are over 18, its still just not okay too treat ppl like shit bc they happened too enjoy and are unable too let go of something dear too them, even if its just a game.
Fuck this, I'm back and I honestly don't know how too feel about Dandy's World controversy anymore so I'm gonna stay neutral and not get into it anymore for my mental healths sake.

Ngl in a way I am super glad you realize that in the Qwel situation going on manipulation is a big part of it, and people can argue that "it wasn't a matter of manipulation" all they want but manipulation from someone can end up making you do horrible things bc of that person's influence, it doesn't excuse it but it's a huge explanation.
To add on multiple people are currently spreading misinfo about this whole situation.
I think the fandom should really stop dehumanizing Qwel and treating this like it's black and white, I personally don't believe she's a bad person bc I don't think "bad people" exist, neither is she a good person because "good people" also don't exist and we are all a shade of grey.
Manipulation can do horrible things and make u do horrible things to others, and acknowledging the psychological effects of manipulation doesn't mean I am defending Qwel.
yes I agree !! I doubt she did these things out of pure malice , and it was probably the affects of manipulation . this isn't an excuse whatsoever but it can serve as an explanation and give people an idea of why this might've happened
if she does apologize for this at all , people aren't obligated to forgive her !!! it hurt some people really badly and I sympathize with the victims of this so much and I hope they get closure if qwel addresses it
right now I just want to remain neutral until / if qwel says something about it , then I'll be able to decide how I feel . my logic for this is that this is how courtrooms work , I don't want to pick a side before hearing both sides

TL;DR: I do not support Qwel but I still believe she can make things better with a proper statement and actions. My heart goes to the victims of this mess, I wish them to get justice against what Rox did to them. โ I also talk about how nuanced the situation is as a whole and not entirely Qwel's fault, the cause is an adult preying on minors first and foremost. Rox and Adam shouldn't be believed that easily and put on a pedestal with their well-known history. โ And I will also continue making fanarts and interacting with the community but not support the game directly.
First, I am 100% siding with the victims and the sacrificial lambs that were the mods at the time who had to do damage control. I hope them to get the closure and justice they deserve. I wish them to heal and be at peace.
I won't support the game for now, as we do not have everyone's side of the story yet and that I'll simply won't take Rox and Adam's words and "proofs" as gospel, do not forget that one is a well-known bully/liar and the other a literal groomer and manipulator. Be aware of incoherences, screenshots can be edited, videos too.
I am also against the whole "burn the witch" thing with Qwel too, her actions are bad, 100%, she shouldn't have neglected her team, I am NOT defending her but let's not forget that, factually, she's also a victim of Rox's influence at the time and even now probs, grooming isn't always sexual, her judgement was surely clouded at the time because they were close, because influence does in fact, influence and messes you up deep. At the time, Qwel was 18 too โ and yes it counts when we know Rox was 20+ at the time and when we remember they met a few years before the whole situation so guess the age difference... yikes. โ It is also a valid statement because at 18, having a whole team, games to your name and the news of your best friend being a horrible person can cause distance and neglect. Unfortunately.
Rox is the actual 'villain' of the whole thing (if we really need to make cases for them to fill in) remember that he's the groomer in the story compared to Qwel being someone who made bad decisions but SHE never groomed anybody but was extremely immature during the situation, I agree. BUT Don't get distracted by the dead cat. Remember that Adam is teaming up with a predator (aka Rox), I will say it again, Qwel SHOULD be held accountable but not burned at the stake while the groomer is being applauded for sharing his proofs.
This isn't a black and white situation, it's complicated and should be treated as such. Manipulation can hurt and change people, those people need to take accountability and apologize but also be seen as the product of their environment, a victim can also mess up, I believe that Qwel can change and do better. She's not an irredeemable monster for staying friends with someone she thought was her best friend for many years, emotions are complicated and friendships have a lot of memories even if now those are tainted by their wrongdoings.
People can change, humans are capable of doing better even if they mess up.
I hope Qwel will take this as an opportunity to show she can do better and grow up from his influence.
Think smart and do not threaten or harass her or anyone in the matter, it won't help the victims in this situation if not make Adam and Rox happy of the ruckus it'll cause, think smart. Be patient. And do not let them manipulate your judgment with the moral panic.
For a more lighter note, I will continue to interact in the fandom and post fanarts of the characters because I don't see myself letting go of the franchise, I love the story, the lore, it's characters and the wonderful people I've met in the Fandom. It holds too much place in my heart to let it go.
But I won't support the game until a statement will be released and what it will say in it.
The best we can do is wait for Qwel to release a statement, support each other, support the victims and don't forget about Adam and Rox's actions.
Please take care of yourselves during this difficult time, I know the world is messed up right now and it's okay to distance yourself from what is happening for your mental health.
