Just got back from seeing Evil Dead Burn
My inner gorehound is very happy tonight! The set pieces were everything I want from and Evil Dead film: Wince-inducing, splattery, creative and intense. The level of tension at times was just edge of the seat, nail-biting and always paid off. There was just enough wink and nod fan service to the older films to make me grin and some actually pretty decent comedic moments as well. Cautions: I will give some warning for depictions of domestic violence, the graphic death of a dog and there are parts that are extremely flashy especially a bit early on set in a dance club with strobe lights.
