A comparison of the three main species of Vaporrealm elementals.
Right: a knocturne or "tommyknocker" has a very muscular body, large claws, and no wings, since they live underground. The claws are used to dig and climb. They have antennas that light up to better see underground.
Middle: a palmkind has a very large head to accommodate their very large core (what serves as an elemental's brain). The "fronds" are sensitive antennas that allow them to use powerful telepathic abilities. The arms are jointed and have fingered hands that allow them to complete delicate tasks.
Left: Eletzytynns are small and delicate, but they have amazing regenerative capabilities. They can regrow limbs and heal their outside and inside parts better than any elemental. The limbs are very sensitive tentacles that are perfect for directing pulses of energy to encourage healing in others.
"You…wanted to see me?" the hunched over, mossy haired creature asked nervously.
"Yes, Terry, right? My miners said you were looking for employment. From my understanding, you are a refugee from Blockadia. Is that right?" the alien CEO known by all as Solaryan replied.
"Yeah…I'm a rascal. Most of us had to leave when humans brought back the sniffers from extinction. I, I have a lot of experience mining, hehe!"
Solaryan was quiet for a moment. She lightly ran one tentacle tip across an ornate urn with a striped star design on it.
"I've heard of rascals. You know the mines and biomes better than anyone, you can see in the dark, and quite good at hide and seek."
Solaryan turned to Terry.
"My sister is hiding in Blockadia and I need you to seek her," Solaryan explained, "At first, I had no idea where she was. Blockadia is divided into realms, and each realm is close to infinite. However, recent order for a pair of prosthetic allay wings alerted me to the realm she is in, at least."
Solaryan paced back and forth, trying to remain stoic.
"My sister Lunaryan is very…friendly towards wardens. She started a new life treating them after… Â
….
Anyway, those mindless cave beasts WILL be the death of her if I don't get her home."
"Wait, WARDENS?!" Terry exclaimed, shuddering.
"Don't worry, you aren't fighting them and I'll be sure you are well equipped to defend yourself should you encounter one. You'll have everything you need for dealing with wardens, pillagers, zombies, bears, factions…you name it. I am willing to fund this effort, I do not…I CANNOT let anything happen to Lunaryan. We're…the last Tessers left."
Solaryan looked at the urn once more.
"Will you help me find her?"
"Yes, I'll do it," Terry agreed.
"Excellent," Solaryan said, shaking Terry's stubby hand with one tentacle, "Welcome to VaporCorp."

Day 18: Scrape
This doesn't happen for a long time, so Dr Tesser is still available to RP with.
While responding to a report of a sick baby warden, Dr Tesser ventures underground to the deep dark. When she gets there, she sees there is a big gray warden with a white mane threatening a rascal. She tries to de-escalate the situation, but there was something she didn't know about this warden.
Unlike most wardens, Thorn (the white maned warden) has a very poor sense of smell. When Dr Tesser tells him to stop threatening the rascal, he thinks she's an adolescent warden mouthing off to him. He can't smell that she's a different creature. He gives a quick scrape; just enough to startle a warden...but a mortal injury for a fragile eletzytynn.
Thorn does not he killed the doctor until she doesn't show up to treat his sick sculkling.

Dr. Tesser finished her snack, feeling better and more clear headed already. Â
Of course! I don’t want to leave you until I know you can reliably defend yourself again.
She looked upward as the big warden loomed over her. It was intimidating at first, but his heartbeat was pretty calm and he didn’t make the threatening growls that an angry warden was known to do before attacking. He seemed more curious than anything.
My kind are called "eletzytynns". We come from a neighboring world called "Splithia", specifically a realm in that world called "Vaporrealm". Our bodies aren’t THAT different…we both harness energy in our center…yours is the souls, mine is stored in a crystal that’s part of me. A warden’s energy is used to fight and make sonic shrieks, but an eletzytynn uses theirs to heal. We’re actually very bad at fighting…
Dr Tesser paused for a moment, then added in a slightly sad tone.
I don’t blame you for being so wary…strangers often aren’t kind to eletzytynns. I imagine they are rarely kind to wardens.
For a little bit afterwards, the only sound was the pulsing of the large warden’s heart and rustling of rabbits and chickens nearby. Â
Soon, the shifting wind brought the sound of distant voices. Very, very faint, but voices for sure.
Hmm…
Dr. Tesser got up and lightly stepped out from the giant warden’s shadow. She hopped into the air, fluttering her wings to get a little height. She couldn’t fly with them, but she could glide and get a little bit of air. She landed on a branch about shoulder height for the big warden.
Off in the distance, to the south, a gray colored banner bobbed between treetops. Somebody spoke and laughed with a deep voice.
Ugh…I was afraid of this…
Dr. Tesser hopped back down and put away her supplies. She removed a small bag full of something that made a twinkling sound as she moved it.
The eletzytynn doctor wasn’t sure if her patient was ready to be moved yet. There was no way a 1.5 block eletzytynn would be able to move an over 5 block tall warden.
@ask-wretched
Day 13: Kind
Dr Lunaryan Tesser was one of the only doctors in Splithia (and Blockadia for that matter) that regularly treated wardens. Most doctors refuse due to their power and aggression. She provided medical care to wardens who needed it up until her death at the hands of a warden.
@ask-wretched
Dr Tesser hastily swallowed a bite of the macronut bar she was eating and answered.
The numbness should wear off in a few hours. It will be sore for awhile…I could give you something for the pain, but it will make you sleepy. Â
Oh the warmth! That's called uh…
What would an eletzytynn's healing ability be in wardenspeak? It was called the "regenerapulse" in her language.
Well…there isn't really a word for it in wardenspeak, but it would be called something like "soft lightning". We use very precise currents of our energy to speed the healing your body naturally does, or we can restore connections and correct bad connections in nerves. For example, I don't know how bad it is, but in your sev. …
Dr Tesser became quiet when the giant warden sat up. He was even bigger than she originally thought! Now, she could see a branded insignia of some sort; maybe belonging to a faction or pillager group? Also, he had a worn out teddy bear in his mane. It wasn't uncommon for wardens to carry a comfort item when they were stressed. She wanted to ask about the branding, but was worried it might be too nosy. Usually, branded wardens were once kept as guard animals or coliseum entertainment…it was a rough life that left a warden poorly socialized.
Oh, if you're still feeling nauseous, we can try food later. You were able to sit up, so your body must be absorbing the potion just fine. I won't leave until you're at least able to make it to the nearest cave to rest.
Dr Tesser reviewed a small map she had. There was a small, shallow cave to the southwest of them. It wasn't much, but it would allow the big warden to sleep off his illness out of the elements.
Dr Tesser: Hmmm…my job would be so much easier if I had some sort of furnace or incinerator for sterilizing and a particularly strong assistant.
As he was lying on the ground, contemplating how to get himself up, Geode's antennas twitched at a nearby disturbance. Footsteps were approaching, but they were light footsteps. This wasn't a warden, whoever they were, they were much smaller. Geode sniffed the air and smelled a human nearby.
Geode whined.
Humans and wardens didn't get along very often. Many of them saw killing a warden as some kind of challenge.
Geode groaned and waited for the arrows, axes, swords, and what not. This time, he was stuck on his belly, so no Sonic shriek.
Maybe if he tried to speak human...
"I...won't hurt...you," Geode managed, "I can't..."
It had been ages since he spoke human.
@pixelizedgrace
~
That... unnerved her, to say the least. The sight of the banner alone is jarring to anyone who had enough common sense, but seeing it in this condition, old and torn... It felt very weird. "... Uh..." Grace hesitated, but ultimately gave in and took Geode's offer, and wrapped the fabric around herself. It wasn't exactly made for warmth, but it'll have to do.
"How old is this banner...?" she warily asked, before walking over to the barrels and peeking into the ones she could reach. That's when she found it—the trident. Another soft gasp was made as she peered inside, awed and surprised. Carefully, it was pulled out and held up for inspection. She could read some of the weapon's Galactic engravings, which is pretty helpful when working with enchantments. "Woah... Where'd you get a trident??" Grace asked.
"Hmm…maybe two hundred years?"
Geode gave his best estimate. Time seemed to run together after spending so long in the underground.
"The…uh, outpost…had a lot of Pillagers until one day, no more. Have no idea what happened."
Geode remembered the whole reason he was going to his workshop in the first place. He started some mushrooms and baked potatoes in his furnace.
"Oh…the trident? It was a…gift. From a miner."
Geode chuckled a little.
"The miner was nice enough to stick it right into my leg for me."
Geode motioned toward his bad leg.

@shambling-idiots
It will take about five minutes for the spray on medicine to take effect. Your leg wound will become numb during that time, then it will take…
Dr Tesser examined the wound again. It looked like the large warden had been doing a pretty good job of keeping it as clean as he could. There wasn’t a lots of discharge and dead flesh to remove. Something small looked embedded inside, most likely the source of this infection.
Half an hour to clean and patch you up. The regeneration potion and the antibiotics I give you will be noticeable in a couple hours. Hopefully, if we can get you to hold down just a little food and sleep and get that fever under control, you can get up and finish resting in a cave.
Dr Tesser decided it was time to get started on treating the big guy. She shook the little can of anesthesia.
Okay, I’m now numbing your leg.
She sprayed on the medicine, making sure she covered the entire wound and the area of inflamed skin around it. As that took effect, she grabbed the bottle of regeneration II. She approached the warden’s mouth carefully and winced when she saw for the first time that he had a massive gash in his right cheek. It looked like a very old wound he had been living with for years, so it wouldn’t make sense to perform any emergency treatment there. He was also missing part of one antenna. Poor thing had been in a lot of fights…
In an ideal world, he would be checked into one of the clinics in the Vaporrealm and fitted with a prosthetic antenna. They could even explore options for repairing his torn cheek. This big guy was probably not going to be comfortable with anything that extreme for a long time, though.
Here, drink this potion…
Dr. Tesser slowly poured the regeneration potion into the large warden’s mouth, being careful to keep it on the side with the intact cheek.
Once she was done giving him the potion, she moved toward his wounded leg again. Dr. Tesser stifled a sudden jolt of intimidation when she finally noticed the absolutely massive axe lying in the grass. The handle alone was as long as her body.
How is your leg feeling right now?
Wretched let another low grumble, however this time it was less hostility and more so just attitude. He felt horrible, weak, and though his person sought to help him out of this godawful situation he couldn’t help but to feel anxious about it. The fact that hardly a thing aside from water could be held down wasn’t helping anything, either; he was so fatigued. With how the mere thought of consuming something made him want to dry-heave, he wasn’t too hopeful.
Oh no, I won’t have to amputate your leg! Don’t worry. I just need to give it a good cleaning, patch up the wound, and I’ll start the healing process with my…abilities.
There really wasn’t a word for an eletzytynn’s healing ability. She could use (very) gentle electric pulses to get tissue to heal. Unfortunately, this took a lot of energy and doing too much would leave her tired and in a sort of starvation state.
Dr. Tesser picked up the splash potion and a few of her instruments. She began to clean the wound, relieved to find that the big warden had kept most of it clean. The source of the sepsis seemed to be coming from a little black piece of debris, at least Dr Tesser thought it HAD to. Whatever it was, it looked dirty. The doctor used a set of forceps to pluck out the piece of debris. It looked like a very corroded bit of metal, possibly from an iron axe or sword. She examined the fragment for a moment before carefully placing it in a sterile tube to culture later.
It looks like the infection started with this dirty piece of metal. Did you get attacked by someone with an axe or sword?
Dr Tesser cleaned inside the wound, treating it with splash potion of instant health. After a good cleaning, she used a type of clear surgical glue to close the gash in the big warden’s leg. After the glue dried, it was almost like a thin layer of clear skin. Dr. Tesser placed the tips of her tentacles on either side of the sealed wound.
This won’t hurt, but your leg might feel a little warm.
Dr Tesser focused and let a very precise current of her energy flow. It always felt like a very intricate, glowing net to her…it was hard to explain to other creatures. It only took a few minutes to give a head start to a healing wound, but it left Dr Tesser feeling extremely weak and woozy every time.
She removed her tentacles from the big warden’s leg and rested for a bit.
I…uhhh…
It took a moment for Dr. Tesser to regain composure. Her body felt heavier than normal and she was already beginning to feel hungry. She pretended she didn’t expend over a day’s worth of calories in a few minutes and quickly wrapped a bandage around the sealed wound to keep it clean.
There, you should start to feel a lot less feverish soon. The glue I used to patch your wound should peel off in around ten days, so at that time you can take the cloth part off your leg.
Dr Tesser knew she would need to eat soon, so she sat at the base of the old oak tree and pulled a snack out of the bag on her waistband. It was a macronut bar and a handful of glowberries.
Do you still feel nauseous or can you have a little bite to eat?
A knockturne has found a rather large nostalgem. Nostalgems are used to make tearsipping straws. Tearsipping straws are a tool that eletzytynns use to perform Tearsipping; a practice in which a portion of someone’s negative energy is absorbed so someone experiencing them can function a little better or process trauma.
👥 Dr Tesser!
Dr. Tesser paused for a bit.
Solaryan was always the more ambitious of us. She’s protective and clever and has a head for business and diplomacy. She’s the leader of the Heads of All in our enclave, the CEO of VaporCorp, and she opened up relations with the palmkind. But…we both have a lot of healing to do…
Solaryan is my twin and well, we’re not on the best terms right now. We don’t hate each other, but…I can’t agree with what she’s doing. After our little sister Stellaryan was…taken from us, she became very into growing the family business. She took VaporCorp from a small mining company to having a monopoly on all the mines in the Vaporrealm. I know it’s because she wants to get the resources for our neighbors, the palmkind to win the war against the Arsenians…because it was Arsenians who murdered Stellaryan. Now, she wants to move operations into Blockadia to gather even more resources…I’m devastated too, but this isn’t the answer.
Send 👥 for my muse to talk about a member of their family
If there is someone specific remember to mention them in the ask!
Eletzytynns are a type of Splithian elemental originating from the Vaporrealm. Their two closest relatives are knockturnes and palmkind. They share a distant common ancestor with non-Splithian elementals, such as regikind, allays, vexes, and wardens. They inhabit various regions of the Vaporrealm, especially the futura pools (an area of scattered floating islands and connecting stone tiled pools) and the Aesthetic range. They tend to avoid the vaporwastes, as they are full of predators both literal (various species of large, birdlike predators) and figurative (Arsenian pirates).
An eletzytynn’s dynamo (the large crystal on their back) and auxiliary dynamo (smaller crystal in their forehead) store massive amounts of energy. In an eletzytynn’s case, this energy cannot be used to fight. It is instead used to heal and in many cases, terraform. Using extremely precise pulses of their energy, eletzytynns are able to repair damaged nerves, speed up the healing process for broken bones, locate and stop the growth of certain cancers, and even correct problems relating to chronic pain. Pulses of energy can be used to encourage plant growth, as well. Despite their incredible healing abilities, eletzytynns are unfortunately very frail and poor at combat. Any eletzytynn who is skilled in fighting has had YEARS of training and most likely uses a rather powerful weapon.
Another notable ability eletzytynns possess is the ability to "tearsip". This ability is enhanced using a special straw made of a conductive material and a single nostalgem. Tearsipping involves absorbing the emotional energy of someone through a sensitive spot on the roof of the receiving eletzytynn’s mouth. Using this ability, eletzytynns can absorb bad feelings associated with trauma, grief, and anxiety. They get very sick from this for a short period of time, as they feel a quick, concentrated sensation of whatever the giver is feeling. It isn’t a permanent fix for someone dealing with negative emotions, but it does lighten their burden so they can function better and process whatever is causing the bad feelings.
Every eletzytynn has a pair of wings sprouting from the area around their dynamo. Whether the wings are small and thin vs large and feathery is hereditary, as is their coloration and pattern. Like all Vaporrealm originating elementals, eletzytynns has four upper limbs. In the case of eletzytynns these are fingerless, but still very coordinated and flexible. Also like other elementals, eletzytynns’ legs appear pointed, as they are constantly walking tiptoe.
Like their other Splithian relatives, eletzytynns are all female. In some cases an eletzytynn could use male or non-binary pronouns, but their sex is always female until certain conditions occur. During the summer months, some eletzytynns will develop male parts and be able to impregnate others. This change can occur a few times during an eletzytynn’s life, every single summer, or in some cases, never at all. The frequency of this change is determined by the amount of certain hormones in an eletzytynn’s body and it varies with each individual.
Eletzytynns are mostly vegetarian. Their favorite foods include wiremelons, macronuts, and liminade. They will occasionally eat nulleceanthe and memfish that inhabit the waters of the futura pools, but those are the choice food for wandering albatrons, which coexist peacefully with eletzytynns. In the futura pools region, eletzytynns make clothing out of "byssus", a light, shimmering cloth made from the hairs on certain shellfish. Eletzytynns take great pride in their byssus clothes and wear them everywhere, sometimes even to bed.
In modern times, many eletzytynns live in very close knit, highly exclusive cities called ‘enclaves". The transition from living in the open alongside other species to closed societies may have to do with the amount of kidnappings skyrocketing in recent years. Enclaves are run by the "Heads of All," who control everything from what color an eletzytynn can paint their mailbox to who they can start a family with. Purity culture is rampant in enclaves and if an eletzytynn is deemed "unpure" even if not by their own fault, they are often banished…this depends on the enclave, though.
