Also, the hospital in this AU is still a hospital with all the equipment necessary to care for the species present, though the furniture and everything is sized and shaped to accommodate each character.

Since this could be considered a swap AU [I think], the four birds are actually humans!

They're a group of kids about Logan and Hailey's age [13-14?]. The four of them like to frequently go on walks in the forest close to where they all live, and not too long ago, met a pair of Cardinals who quiete enjoy their company [The Stevenson's].

Why do the Cardinals like them? Well, the four of them became friends from band class, and being songbirds, the Stevensons love listening to them play. I have no idea what instruments they play though.

So my intent was to try and maintain a scale for size with my animal choices, which is why there aren't any larger fauna in this AU like moose or bears. [Also because making Haley and Logan types of mice was just too cute lmao]

Anyway, I kinda like Janitor’s theory of why Samurai and Insomniac are so different from everyone else [they were accidentally transported forward in time from Edo Period Japan], so I figured I could do the same with animals that don't exactly belong in present day Ontario Canada.

This AU takes place in an undeveloped part of western Ontario Canada, in a forest with a river connecting to Lake Superior.

I sampled "Take Five" by The Dave Burbeck Quartet for the backing track, but the piano's all me! I tried to get creative in the last bit and did something inspired by 6-X Boss Fight. Hope you like it.
