Let's Talk about Faunids

Why does it take them forever to do any customs? I've noticed that they rarely release customs and when they do people don't get them for a year nearly.

I am finding it harder and harder to have any input on faunids. Aside from fawnid releases, the server is basically dead. Even then, the only ones speaking are Michael or L0SW. The only people who speak in general are staff members, or people who have joined recently. It is like having aunts and uncles you have never met chittering away at your wake as they are just there for the food.

I feel bad for all of the artists Jack commissioned that didn’t know about the zoo shit.

Jack and his team killed Faunids. There have been less age-ups. No one will trade for anything. Tokens, items, other faunids, it does not matter. The fawns people got this year are all trade-locked so that someone always gets first dibs on them and it's usually a staff member. This has just turned into Jack's little play place without any consideration for how a species is supposed to run. If no one can trade and no one wants to buy new stuff, and there is nothing to do with the characters you have, what is the point?

Can we talk about how auctions used to go for 1000+ almost effortlessly and now they're struggling to break 100? Didn't everyone warn Jack that would happen before everything blew up and now it's happening? He is reaping what he sowed right now. I would be very embarrassed if I were the owner and that happened to me. It is showing that people do not care for these designs and this community as much as we used to. Loudly.

Lifesource was originally supposed to be an arpg mechanic. You would choose between 3 main schools to take prompts from npcs to basically teach your fauns magic. There was a storm themed one, a life themed one, and a death themed one for corrupts. It was supposed to be lore/potentially cosmetic rewards for using/developing fauns, much like any arpg species. That kind of got a wrench thrown in it a bit when syn added it to a fawn before the system was ready to be released to the public. Most of the lore had been written at that point, but was not public as the arpg part was still missing assets. It seems jack and co have since fucked it even further by overly complicating the types of lifesource and seemingly moved entirely away from the arpg nature of it and just shoehorn it onto everything without actually explaining what it is.

Could somebody please explain to me what Lifesource is supposed to be…?

hey for the record soundwave once cornered me and tried to force me into DMs because i asked what the point of the giant comic was in terms of what it meant for the people whose characters were included in it. he got extremely confrontational with me and tried to make me go to his DMs so he could argue with me in a non-public space because he felt threatened that i had a genuinely innocent question.
