My first choir director taught us how to project our voices by imagining a tennis ball and throwing it at the front of the church, to throw our voice like the tennis ball. And I’ll be damned if it didn’t work

the first person to actually give me helpful instructions instead of “singing in my nose” told me to talk with an extremely nasally new yorker accent, like extremely piercing and obnoxious and buzzy (think of the beginning of “somewhere that’s green” if you know what i’m talking about). now slowly work that down to something tolerable by incorporating the good breath support, vowel space and “shape”, diction, etc etc. you’re left with a really nice resonance and almost a mix-type headvoice.

But actually its kinda wild that companies will just delete their most popular shows from existence and everyone is supposed to just be ok with that.
