I mean, for a while, I can’t say I was having a good time. I was actually finding the whole thing to be a little on the boring side just because I wasn’t doing much, and I wasn’t interacting with that many people. Got left to knitting, of all things. Why would they kidnap someone rich who would spend money here? Pretty sure most of the slaves are just… kids off the street and what not.. kids who wouldn’t be missed so there’s no one out there looking for them and putting the island at risk.

Because if there's no system to choose slaves or to differentiate slaves between masters, then that means that any one of the masters could have been kidnapped and brought here to live like a slave instead.

Why are you asking me how slaves get chosen? I don’t work here… I assume that it’s because you’re attractive. You’re placed in the category of slave simply by the fact that you were taken and brought here. There’s no choice in the matter.

And I think I know why too, it's sure to save him a lot of effort to track each individual rebellion slave down. Either that or to guilt trip the ones responsible. But how does that pyramid work? I still don't understand the logic of why the slaves are chosen, or how they are placed into the category of slaves, or what makes you better than them.

It’s not your fault the situation even exists though, ya gotta keep that in mind. It isn’t really /you/ that’s making him hand out the punishment. It’s Dante. And it’s gonna suck, and he isn’t gonna wanna do it, but I think he’d feel worse if he left it to someone else. I’m sure he’ll take care of ya afterwards too, I don’t think some slaves were that lucky. It’s a.. situation. The whole thing isn’t really fair to anyone, slave or master. No, I know. It's just... a difficult thing to wrap your head around. And I know I'm lucky to have him. I'm sure there's others here who deserve his kindness more than me. But in my opinion, no it's not fair, even if some of them can enjoy it. And yes, you'd think, but I'm getting the feeling he likes to abuse his power a little too much.
