That day is different for me now that Hank is gone. I spent the afternoon with him and it is so strange to me now that I look back at that day with some kind of fondness. He was so calm, so confident. Saba and I cried and shivered and succumbed to our adrenaline in the mass flight uptown, but not Hank. He was scared but not panicked. His fear seemed to make him more focused, more rational, and that was a quality in him that always awed me.
