They're not any existing type of animal (eg: primates, birds, rodents) but something entirely different. The closest we have are raccoons

All pups pretty much look the same regardless of sex, males develop those patches to attract mates, and females have dewlaps for protection :)

the species is mostly female, since males kill each other in fights for various reasons on a daily basis

Hey have three fingers including posible thumbs. They have paw pads too but only on their foot since they don't walk much

Their antennae glow and change colors to lure in prey (they're omnivorous)
