i feel like im a weird age where i got just a blurry glimpse at the world Before. it used to be cold in the mornings and websites had fun games and the search results showed you what you searched for. covid wasn't a thing. can anybody fucking hear me. did i dream it all????

is anyone else annoyed that "ai" encompasses both chatgpt and tools we train to do repetitive tedious work for us. and by the ripple effect of articles like "scientists develop ai to detect cancer early" that make people argue for the merit of chatgpt or become anti-medicine. and by the general state of the world and society

i don't really want to weight in on the "using big words in your writing is ableist" discourse happening on tiktok because i'm like 90% certain it's an anti-intellectual psyop to stir up drama in online circles to promote the use of ai to summarize literally everything and thus feeding the LLMs and lowering the populace's mistrust of such tools but i also have to say: dictionaries and thesauruses are the most accessible they've ever been. if you use an e-reader of any kind you can look up a word without leaving the page. there's a plethora of online dictionaries and if you just type a word + "meaning" into google it'll usually give you a definition. we used to have pocket dictionaries we used when reading in class. i have two on my shelf right now that i used in high school. stop letting the fascists purposefully misuse anti-ableism rhetoric to trick you into never thinking again.

Hey ich möchte nochmal betonen, das diese Ideen von Merz und co mit der Krankschreibung/AU und dem Informationsfreiheitsgesetz momentan geplant, aber noch nicht Gesetz sind. Also ist JETZT die Zeit, sich die Pläne mal im Detail anzuschauen (gibt's z. B. Bei der Tagesschau) und dann auf Abgeordnetenwatch.de die Abgeordneten aus dem eigenen Wahlkreis für den Bundestag zu finden, und denen dass, was ihr hier gerade so auf Tumblr schreibt, in etwas höflicherer Form als E-Mail oder am besten Papierbrief zukommen zu lassen. Ich kann das echt nicht klarer sagen: DIESE REGELN GELTEN NOCH NICHT. Wie und ob das Gesetz kommt, hängt unter anderem auch davon ab, wie ungemütlich Leute das IHREN Abgeordneten jetzt in der Ausarbeitungsphase machen. Also bitte, bitte, wenn ihr euch aufregt: macht es in der Inbox eurer Abgeordneten und geht nicht davon aus, dass das schon steht!
