I recently finished up doing a playthrough of all the Security Breach era games so far, and wound up really wanting to do little pieces for all the Pizzaplex characters! I love this whole cast a bunch, they all mean a whole lot to me.

like the betrayalâs always going to be worse if they cared about you and it didnât matter. someone discards you because they didnât give a shit, then you can be angry about that, you can feel vindicated in that, you can get over it. but if they can look you in the eyes and say âI love you. I would make the same choice again.â You will never sleep peacefully again, is all.
âI thought they cared about me, but they were lying this whole time.â <- tired. boring. removes all the nuance of this relationship to make it easier to move on from.
âI thought they cared about me, and I was right, and every minute they were there for me, every time they said they were proud, every laugh we shared leaning against each other bruised and breathless, all of it was real. and they still left me behind. They could put their love aside. I couldnât.â <- insane. will never leave you alone. reminds you that even the worst people are still people and can still care about even the ones they hurt the most and that undoes neither the harm nor the love.
ââLet us free Ireland,â says the patriot who wonât touch Socialism. Let us all join together and crush the brutal Saxon. Let us all join together, says he, all classes and creeds. And, says the town worker, after we have crushed the Saxon and freed Ireland, what will we do? Oh, then you can go back to your slums, same as before. Whoop it up for liberty! And, says the agricultural workers, after we have freed Ireland, what then? Oh, then you can go scraping around for the landlordâs rent or the money-lendersâ interest same as before. Whoop it up for liberty! After Ireland is free, says the patriot who wonât touch socialism, we will protect all classes, and if you wonât pay your rent you will be evicted same as now. But the evicting party, under command of the sheriff, will wear green uniforms and the Harp without the Crown, and the warrant turning you out on the roadside will be stamped with the arms of the Irish Republic. Now, isnât that worth fighting for? And when you cannot find employment, and, giving up the struggle of life in despair, enter the poorhouse, the band of the nearest regiment of the Irish army will escort you to the poorhouse door to the tune of St. Patrickâs Day. Oh! It will be nice to live in those days! âWith the Green Flag floating oâer usâ and an ever-increasing army of unemployed workers walking about under the Green Flag, wishing they had something to eat. Same as now! Whoop it up for liberty!â
â James Connolly, Let Us Free Ireland! (1899)
âIf you remove the English army to-morrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organisation of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain. England would still rule you. She would rule you through her capitalists, through her landlords, through her financiers, through the whole array of commercial and individualist institutions she has planted in this country and watered with the tears of our mothers and the blood of our martyrs.â
â James Connolly, Socialism and Nationalism (1897)
hot take in a roundabout way i think that's also why so many of us opt out of becoming parents ourselves
Does anybody know how to fix it
Start disappointing people and not backing out of it when they are upset, reject feeling ashamed of everything including of yourself, start saying No to things you do not want to do not just things you're scared of, do more of those things you're scared of but wish you could do, make your own plans and execute them, decide to do or not do something without basing it on who will Dislike it.
Free Will takes practice, and the chance of making someone somewhere Slightly or even Very Disappointed In You. But you're an adult and you can't be made to stand in a corner anymore.

So what I think is that there's this default belief in patriarchy that men are superior to women and therefore the "masculine" sphere is superior to the "feminine" sphere. And so, as feminists have fought to expand the number of allowable female activities, men (on the aggregate over generations) have retreated from those activities because they're now seen as "feminine", and so partaking in them is incommensurate with their belief in their own superiority. And, unfortunately, as this has progressed, this has resulted in a lot of men sectioning themselves off from, frankly, everything that actually makes being alive worthwhile. It's a misery spiral, and the only way out is to abandon male supremacy.
#men gave up deep friendships and reading and poetry and colourful fashion#all things that used to be considered manly in the 19th century#they're currently giving up on studying law and medecine#it's so stupid and sad
(I mean, the colourful fashion was more of an eighteenth century thing, but yeah)
#more women in higher education meaning fewer men is incredibly depressing to me. funny in a sad way#what happens when women will finally get into trades? will they just stop working

One thing i would like to add
This is know as man fleeting or something, and it happens with poc moving to white suburbs in usa too, but what i want to talk about is how when woman start to get into something, like orchestra, the value of it decreases and everyones salary gets lower
So, yeah
I'm not even nearly as anti-LLM as most other leftists but part of approaching new technology is "hey let's think real critically about the application and scope of this so we can use it in ways that are worth it and don't cause mass scale societal damage" but the fact that it's being injected into fucking EVERYTHING makes any stance more cautious than "USE LLMS FOR EVERYTHING NOW AND FOREVER" so much more anti than the status quo that I don't even fucking want to add nuance
Like most of the problems people have with LLMs are the natural conclusion of decades of tech companies gaining monopolies, environmental regulations struggling to keep up with new technologies, and a growing semi-privatized surveillance state, as opposed to issues with LLMs themselves. There's a theoretical reality where LLMs are implemented in useful, responsible, and sustainable ways but that reality is so far removed from our current one that none of those points actually matters
She right

"You can dress however the hell you want when no one can beat your ass."
there is nothing a corporation hates more than having employees, but a close second is having to provide a good or service in order to make money. these two reasons concisely explain is why the ai bubble formed in the first place.
I like to imagine hoofed fingers having rubbery fingertip-like pads
(Update: I think adding in a bit of value and color variation helps sell the appeal)

somebody put him on a coat of arms already
may's designs were these buggy dragons that were so fun to do and I hope to revisit this base in the near future
On an intellectual level i know that early 20th century megacity concepts are deeply impractical and would cause triple the harm they purported to solve, but damn if the art doesnât make me yearn to visit.
Hugh Harriss made some of my favorites.
Itâs Hugh Ferriss, check out The Metropolis of Tomorrow (1929). Some of his work is speculative, some of it is just artistic renderings of existing (or proposed) buildings for advertising purposes, some of it is educational, and a lot of it is New York. All of it is dope.
I love Hugh Ferriss cityscapes so much. I grew up with Batman: The Animated Series, and itâs responsible for a lot, and this whole vibe, the massive, monolithic, Art Deco cityscape, Hugh Ferriss is the epitome of it. Gotham, Metropolis, Rapture, New Capenna. Any fantasy dieselpunk art deco city youâve ever seen. This guy, along with the original Metropolis, was one of the first.Â
I especially love that last image from the first post:
I have it saved to most of my computers so I can use it as a desktop occasionally. This tiny human figure standing back in awe of this cityscape view that absolutely dwarfs them, this mass of concrete and light that looks like a dawn beyond them.Â
And, yes, this is from an early 20th century dream of a future that would have been incredibly bad for us, but the imagery. This is the city as a mass, as an entity, as a pillar to the heavens, as a radiance, as a dawn. The solidity of it. These are cities as the epitome of humanityâs ability to say âI built thisâ. I made this mountain, and I made it radiant. I put this thing here and it is so solid that no wrath of any god could strike this babel down.
(They wouldnât have needed to. Weâd never have gotten them up, and if we had theyâd have slowly killed us in and of themselves. But damn they look good)
I really love his stuff âŚ
hey, donât cry. one half flour one half yogurt knead into dough and fry for easy flatbread and dip in balsamic vinegar, okay?
After three batches, my findings so far:
I use full fat Greek yoghurt and self-rising flour
Ratio by weight
Add a pinch of salt
Knead until no longer sticky, adding more flour if necessary
Roll them with olive oil instead of flour and fry in an otherwise unoiled, preheated pan (medium heat) (trust in the lord; it will seem like it's going to stick to the pan at first but they'll unstick in about 15 seconds)
Roll them thin but not too thin; mine take about 45 seconds on either side
Serving with garlic butter is also a very good option
Iâm gonna be eating these for a month

I tried drawing random animals from memory in 2 minutes (based on a spilled ink video) but at the elephant I realised I'm really not good at it :'D So I ended up redrawing them with references just to see the difference, and ended up spending way too much time on it.
Part 2!
Went back and finished the video. There were more animals I never saw before (and one where I accidentally drawn a different one :"D ) but it's all done!
What the duck?
[Description: the video is captioned "Find the duck game", and we see several blindfolded women in hijabs groping around an enclosed ring while spectators look on, cheering and laughing . After a few seconds the camera pans so that you can see the duck, who is waddling around, casually yet resolutely resisting capture. Periodically the women collide with each other. They do not find the duck. End ID]
#it is a beautiful day in indonesia and you are a terrible duck
