Do yourself a favor. Don’t make it about you, or your limitations, or what you are doing wrong. Don’t beat yourself up for not being sweet enough, kind enough, loving enough, enough of a listener, enough of a supporter.

Sometimes, the limitations are not about you. Sometimes people choose misery. Sometimes they don’t have hope for things to be different. Sometimes, depression, anxiety and a host of other things are getting in the way. Sometimes there just isn’t anything you can do for them.

We all have baggage. Do yourself a favor and don’t carry someone else’s bags. You can help by being your authentic self, and sometimes, it might be too much or overwhelming for people. Or they won’t trust you.

Above all, be as kind to yourself as you try to be to others.

Let the bags fall where they may, and trust your gut. And your heart.
